Jade's morning went a little similar to her morning yesterday; only this time, she woke up with a boy sleeping soundly beside her.

What the hell?

Her eyes widened as she realized how close their faces were. Moving slowly away from the Prince, Jade fell from the bed with a loud thud. She stood up, massaging her behind when Theodore stirred from his sleep.

"You're being noisy again" Prince Theodore grumbled and sat up, still half-asleep.

Jade looked at his still sleepy state. His face isn't that bad for someone who just woke up, he's even pouting while his eyes are closed. "Well I'm sorry I had to move my body away from your.." she stared at him for a bit, looking at his physique; broad shoulders, not that huge biceps, "gross body".

He finally opened his eyes and revealed his smirk, "Took you some time to find the wrong words huh?"

"Excuse me, but you're not my type, really." Jade told him, crossing her arms on her chest while holding her chin up.

"Type? Is that how you call someone you like?" he said as he stood up. "Then what's your type?"

Mustering up the courage not to stutter, Jade managed to say, "Someone who's not keeping me imprisoned inside his bedroom, that's for sure."

"If you want to be kept in a cell, then just tell me." He said nonchalantly, and turned away from Jade so he could fix his messy bed.

Jade didn't want to be kept in a cell so she purposely ignored what he just said. "How did I end up sleeping on your bed with you?"

"I came back with you already sleeping on my bed. I was tired from the training I did so I didn't have the strength to carry you to my sofa for you to sleep on,"

She gasped dramatically, "You were planning to make me sleep on the sofa? How gentlemanly of you, Prince Theodore."

"Who even gave you the permission to sleep on my bed, anyway? Besides, you're not a princess and we're not close so why should I bother being a gentleman to you, Valentine." Theodore shot her a pointed look.

"My name is Jade. Lyra JADE Thompson." Jade told him, emphasizing Jade since that's the name she prefers people calling her. Lyra sounds too girly to her or she's just used to people calling her by her second name.

"Lyra Jade, huh?" he smirked, "Then Lyra Jade, would you mind telling me your secret now so that I could already hand you over to the General? Your friends are waiting for you there."

She furrowed her eyebrows, not fond of the idea of handing her over to his so-called general but then meeting her friends would surely be a good idea. However, now that he mentioned it, Jade now realized how disadvantaged she was with these people surrounding her. I don't know how to control my power, for crying out loud!

Wait.

Control my power... that's it!

"For the last time, I do not have a secret. But... I actually have something to ask you." Jade said, sitting back down on the bed while Theodore just stood beside the bedroom bench at the foot of his bed.

"What?"

"Justin told me about you having Power mimicry and the ice thing. Where did you get the first one?"

"From my father." Theodore answered, "Powers are inherited. Although for some, when they aren't born with any of his parents' power, a parent could bestow him his power."

"A parent? Why not both?"

Prince Theodore raised an eyebrow. "It's a limitation. It was the Creator who probably did that."
