Jade opened her eyes and found herself in another place. She wasn't inside Theodore's room anymore. She was nowhere near the castle, to be exact.
The place she was in was wrecked.
Trees were either cut down in half or uprooted.
Debris was scattered around.
Animals were running around frantically.
"Where am I?" Jade asked no one in particular. There was no one near her anyway.
She wandered around until she smelled something burning. The smell made her senses alarmed so she set her mind into using her powers when someone appears and tries to harm her.
From afar, however, she saw where the smell was coming from.
The forest was burning a few miles ahead.
Jade ran to where it was coming from after hearing someone scream. Her heart was racing so fast that she didn't even think that she needed to hide as this was not her timeline.
One wrong move and the other timelines would be changed.
Then she noticed someone watching the scene unfold before her as well - a short woman with dark short locks of hair and a frown on her face. She was holding the pendant from the necklace she was wearing.
Six feet away, a huge flying object - no, a dragon breathed fire on another set of trees under it. Jade watched as the dragon flew closer until finally, it noticed them. And as soon as Jade realized what was about to happen, she ran to the woman and pulled her away from the scene.
"What the hell is happening?" Jade blurted out, asking no one in particular.
"This is the future," the woman said, "I... I travelled to the future."
Jade looked over her shoulder real quick just to see what the old woman looked like. "What?"
"I must tell them." the woman disregarded her question. She looked at her arms, which were starting to wrinkle the more seconds passed. "I must tell the King."
"The future?" Lyra Jade stopped on her tracks, her grip around the woman's wrist loosened. "Don't tell me... you... you're a Valentine too?"
Then someone screamed. Both women felt like it was a scream for help.
For Lyra Jade, it felt like it was familiar.
"Gus!" A boy was running towards another boy standing near the fire. "Gus, you can't stop that now!"
"Lilith!" Jenevieve's voice from another side caught Jade's attention. "Save him, please!" Jenevieve and Lilith were both crying as the former was pulling her best friend somewhere on their left.
"Jen, I've already healed too many of them." Lilith said, "I can't do it anymore."
Screams were all over the place when the two girls left the scene. And all that Jade could think of was what she was trying to understand for the past day, she even had it memorized which actually surprised her a bit.
"A hidden piece shall carry the loathe
When two worlds speak a careless oath
One shall live, the other must end
Until the key makes ties amend
The day will come when all must choose
To live, to die when all's to lose" Jade said, her eyes big as the meaning dawned on her. "It's the prophecy. It really happened." She kept on repeating the prophecy, trying to connect the dots. "To live, to die when all's to lose," she stared at the chaos before her. "Ciel Kingdom will cease to exist? Or is it the whole Empyrea?"
