"So, when were you planning on telling us about your blood?" Bellamy scoffed as he glared at the girl. The two had gone back to their tent, now having a conversation Arwen didn't want to have, nor did she have a decent explanation. "I don't know. Didn't think it was your business." She replied, laying on her bed with her arms behind her head. "Your blood is black! How is that none of our business!?" He snapped, looking at her as if she was crazy for thinking that. "It's nothing, really." She said, not meeting his eyes as she looked at the ceiling of the tent boredly. "Nothing?" He repeated. "Nothing, really? Can you at least give me a decent explanation?" He demanded. "No." "No?" "No, because I don't have one. I have black blood, it's how I was born, let it go." She hissed, meeting his eyes with a glare. "But why did the grounder react like that?" He asked. "Because it's rare." She half-lied. He stared at her in disbelief, looking as if he was going to ask her more questions, but Clarke came in the tent. "Arie, Kane wants to talk to you." She announced, slightly glancing at Bellamy. "Who's Kane?" She asked, tilting her head. "He's the Ark's second in command." She explained vaguely. Shrugging, she followed Clarke out of the tent, giving Bellamy a second glance.
She sat down in front of the video screen with Clarke next to her, the two putting on headsets to hear better. "Kane." Clarke greated with a small, polite nod. "Clarke." He greeted back, his eyes shifting to the grounder on Clarke's right. "Clarke has told me about you, Arwen." He said. "I'm Marcus Kane." He introduced. "Arwen, but you already knew that." She said flatly. The man chuckled slightly. "Clarke has told me how you've saved the deliquents lives more then once, 5 might I add." He said, respect clear in his voice. "Felt like it. Seemed useful." She boredly said. "Tell me about that grounder, can he provide any insight on how to survive winter?" Jaha broke in as he joined Kane on the video call. "We're doing everything we can to prepare here. We're gathering nuts and berries, curing meat, digging for roots, but the truth is, we'll freeze before we starve." Arwen explained. "There's good news on that front." Kane spoke again. "According to civil defense plans from before the war, there's an old emergency aid depot, not far from the landing site." He said, showing them some sort of tablet. "Here are the coordinates." He added. "In addition to the supplies, it could provide shelter for the 100 and for the citizens coming down from the ark." Jaha broke in as Clarke took notes of the coordinates. "And what makes you think the shelter is still intact?" Arwen questioned. "It was designed to withstand nuclear warfare." Kane explained. Lexi paused, Clarke looking at her for her agreement. "Alright, it's worth a shoot." She decided. "Chancellor, I have to object." Some blonde woman said. "Project Exodus is under way, the kids should sit tight in their camp until the first dropship launches." She continued. "Even if everything goes with a hitch, the 100 would die from exposure before relief arrives." Jaha cut her off, dismissing her opinion. "I'd like a moment with Clarke alone please." He added to the rest of the council members, who quickly got up. With a nod to Clarke, Arwen made her way out of the tent. Raven met up with her, a wide smile on his face. "I don't think I got to thank you." She said shyly. Without giving the grounder time to reply, she captured her in a bone crushing hug. "You saved Finn's life, thank you so much." She said as Arwen felt tears of happiness fall on her shoulder. Hesitantly, she brought her hands on Raven's back and gave her an awkward pat, not having hugged anyone in years but Lexa. "It was nothing, really." She said, Raven finally pulled away to swipe the tears. "Finn means everything to me, I hope you know how grateful I am." She said, smiling through her sad expression. Arwen offered her a small smile and pat on the shoulder as she walked past the brunette, making her way towards Bellamy. "Hey, Blake." She called. He turned to face her with narrowed eyes. "You're coming with me on an adventure." She told him. He scoffed. "And why's that?" "Because we need the supplies and I don't feel like being around anyone I actually like." She deadpanned, not giving him a choice as she passed him a pack and turned on her heels.
She watched from a distance as Bellamy stuffed his pack with rations. "You know it's only a day trip, right?" She questioned as he walked over to her, not sparing her a glance as he answered, "A lot can happen in a day." She walked next to him as they walked through the forest, feeling his eyes on her. Ignoring him, she sped up her pace slightly, almost annoyed that his eyes didn't leave her. After a few minutes, she got annoyed and turned to face him. "Didn't mommy ever teach you that staring is impolite?" She snapped. He glared at her. "Mommy's dead." He shot back bitterly. Her face faltered in shock and pity. "Don't look at me like that, I don't need your pity." He chuckled dryly. They walked in silence after that, until Arwen decided to speak up once more. "My mom's dead too." That grabbed Bellamy's attention. She refused to meet his curious eyes, but continued nevertheless. "Got killed in a war. Barely knew her." Bellamy's eyes softened, making her scoff. "Don't do your pity on me, Blake." She shot at him. "I'm sorry." He said, only receiving a shrug in response.
"You know, you can't avoid Jaha forever." She told him once they got near the bunker site. "I can try." He huffed. "Maybe he'll be lenient." She suggested, not really believing her own words. "Look, I shot the man, he won't just forgive and forget." He snapped as they got on a hill, the bunker site in front of them. She sighs, rolling her eyes. "The door's gotta be here somewhere. Split up, stay within shouting distance." She ordered him as she walked to the left. She moved rocks and leaves boredly, until her feet found something metallic. "Bellamy!" She called out, and to her surprise he was by her side in record time. "Watch your feet." He warned, slamming his axe on the handle before opening it up. He didn't make much eye contact with her, looking rather deep in his thoughts. "Do you really think this place hasn't been touched since the war?" He asked as he followed her into the bunker. "A girl can dream." She replied, looking around. "Come on." She said, going deeper inside of the bunker. Halfway down the stairs, the pair came across a skeleton. "Hell of a place to die." Bellamy comments. "So much for living down here, the place's disgusting." Arwen said as they reached the bottom. "Anything down here is ruined." Bellamy agreed. "Must've distributed most of the supplies before the last bomb went off." She said as she mindlessly opened a crate, finding a pile of orange blankets. "Found blankets." She told her companion. "You get excited over a bunch of blankets? How about a med kit, or a decent fricking tent!" He snapped, kicking a barrel down. "Oh my god." He whispered, staring at the contents. "What now?" She scoffed, rolling her eyes as she turned to face him. Fear made its way to her face as he held a gun proudly, smirking.
"This changes everything!"
