(Azula's POV)
I knock on the door and soon it's opened by one of the boys we met earlier on the beach, Chan.
- "Uhm... You're a little early. No one's here yet."
Of course all those peasants would be late
- "I heard you telling someone you'd be partying from dusk 'till dawn. It's dusk, so we're here."
- "... But that's just an expression"
He shouldn't be bothered by this
- "We are the perfect party guests. We arrive right on time, because we are very punctual."
Chan gestures for us to enter, so we do. The house is no big deal, but definitely better than Li and Lo's
- "All right, listen. My dad's an admiral. He has no idea I'm having this party, so don't mess anything up."
He seemed to direct the last part to me, the boy really has no idea who he's speaking to. An admiral, huh? Maybe I should try to socialize.
- "That's a sharp outfit, chan. Careful. You could puncture the hull of an empire-class Fire Nation battleship, leaving thousands to drown at sea, because it's so sharp"
He looked confused. Not the reaction I was looking for; this should be easier.
- "Uhm... Thanks"
I consider myself a people person, I'm supposed to be good at this. Why is intimidating so much easier?
Later in the party, I'm observing the people in the room. It seems like a small crowd of simps has formed around Ty Lee. I feel a sting of jealousy.
Then she chi blocks them all. Nice.
My friend makes her way to me, apparently relieved.
- "Oh, I'm glad you're here. Those boys won't leave me alone. I guess they all just like me too much."
Really?
There was something that truly bothered me in that situation. It wasn't just the fact that I should be getting more attention, there was also something else. Although I didn't quite know what it was.
- "Come on, Ty Lee. You can't be this ignorant"
- "What are you talking about?"
She looks a bit hurt, but I move on anyways
- "Those boys only like you because you make it so easy for them. You're not a challenge. You're a tease. It's not like they actually care who you are."
The beautiful person in front of me starts crying. I made her cry. Shit, I should not have said that.
- "Okay, okay, calm down. I didn't mean what I said. Look, maybe I just said it because I was a little... Jealous."
I tried my best to make up for it. I'm actually impressed I admitted that
- "What? You're jealous of me? But you're the most beautiful, smartest, perfect girl in the world!"
Hearing her say those words made my heart beat a bit faster. What is this feeling?
- "Well, you're right about all those things. But, for some reason, when I meet boys, they act as if I'm going to do something horrible to them."
