Walking together

A/n- hi guys this one is a little long but I hope you enjoy!

Megumi considered arriving late to the party because of the feeling that he was going to throw up. The sad excuse for a breakfast he had this morning was in his throat, his head was spinning in his own reasons of why he felt this way. Maybe I ate something bad the other day, I could've gotten hurt during my sparring practice with Maki-San, His excuses were interrupted when a knock sounded on his room door. 

"Fushiguro, you in there?", the unmistakable cheery voice of Itadori flooded his ears. 

Megumi smiled softly despite his situation at the sound of his friend, " Yes". 

" I was wondering if you got ready for the party Gojo-Sensei is throwing for the end of the Shibuya Incident?" 

Megumi's breath hitched, not ready to completely accept his friend's death, not yet. He managed to choke out, "Yea I'm ready?" Megumi knew that Itadori took Nobara's death just as hard, and even blamed himself for it, yet his grieving was so... timely? He took a few days off, and he came back with his same old smile. His eyes, his eyes looked a bit dull, as if it was all an act. Maybe it was. Megumi couldn't bring himself to think on that in depth. It was too much for him. 

" You wanna walk together!" Itadori exclaimed. 

Megumi didn't have the heart to say no if he asked like that. 

"Sure, I'll be right there" 

Megumi guessed that Itadori was nodding his head unaware that Megumi couldn't see him. He took a deep breath, trying to wash out whatever was creeping up his throat. With that he stood up and opened the door to go to the event, like nothing had happened.

Utahime looked at Gojo like she wanted to rearrange his guts, Gojo laughed as if reading Utahime's mind.

"Utahime-senpai." Gojo said in the most mocking way possible, "Gutting me would mean two things, you would need to have an ounce of strength and ability, and the second," He leaned in just a little closer, "You would have to come closer to me than you are now." Utahime became aware of the distance they were at. With the help of Shoko they managed to finish setting up for the event and get themselves changed into proper clothing for the party. Their moment was interrupted Gojo received a text from Itadori saying that him and Megumi had met up with the Kyoto students and were on their way now.  

Gojo stood up from his spot where Shoko told him to sit when she was finally tired of him mocking Utahime while they were trying to set the plates, rip to the three perfectly good glass plates left in the closet because they were to lazy to pick them up. Shoko then preceded to scold Gojo while lighting a cigar. Shoko left after a while after Utahime pestering Shoko to not smoke. 

"Aw sending Shoko away to get alone time with me?" Utahime stopped drinking "water" from the cheap paper cup and looked Gojo dead in the eye. The emotions and blushing  from before was just a faint trace. "Does acting like your better than everyone help you sleep at night?" Gojo just grinned, "I can show you how I sleep at night." 

Utahime choked a little on her drink, then took the drink and tossed it at him.

"Huh, I knew you weren't drinking water," Gojo said while licking off the "water" off his face with a punchable smirk. 

"Utahime, have you ever considered living an alcohol free life?" Utahime pretended to contemplated this for a second, "I need alcohol if I am around you." 

Gojo opened his mouth when they both heard the voices of the students outside of the cabin.

After locking his dorm room Megumi and Itadori headed to the cabin that Gojo-Sensei reserved for the party. Megumi talked comfortably with Itadori, his sickness forgotten. 

"My brother!"  

Megumi and Itadori both stopped in their tracks, a blank expression on their faces. Itadori turned to face the Kyoto students and put his focus mainly on Todo staring at them. 

"Todo!" Itadori said cheerfully. Megumi focused his attention away from the gorilla and onto the rest of the students. Mai stared at him with an angry expression on her face while the short witch had a disgusted expression on her face as she was staring at Todo and Itadori.

"Hello" Noritoshi Kamo respectfully said as Megumi directed his gaze over to him. 

 Megumi bowed, " Hello Kamo-San, are you and the other Kyoto students heading toward the event the teachers have set up for us?"  

Itadori bumped his head into the conversation, " if you are, than we can walk together" he proposed. Megumi stood up straight to see Kamo reply. 

"Tch" 

Megumi fixed his eyes on Mai's disgusted expression and then on Nishimiya who took Mai's hand. 

"Of course! It'll be fun to talk with other students!" Miwa added from the side trying to diffuse some of the tension that had been created. Itadori smiled gratefully back and walked ahead of everyone, Todo immediately followed saying that he was lost without his "brother". Megumi stayed behind with the Kyoto students politely engaging in conversation with Kamo and Miwa. He noticed that the usually bright blue haired girl had mellowed down from after releasing Gojo from the prison realm. Megumi assumed that the sudden drop in her happiness was because of the loss of their classmate Mechamaru. Though Megumi let the thought escape from his head, he didn't have time to worry about other people's problems. Megumi turned back to Kamo trying to catch up on what he missed when he spaced out. 

Soon enough after another 5 minutes of walked they arrived at the trail that would lead them to the cabin in the woods. 

"Wow!", The students turned their heads to look at Itadori, " Its like we're going into a horror movie!" 

Todo laughed loudly and said, " My brother watches horror movies, something only great people do" 

"Are you an idiot" Mai and Nishimiya said in synch while Miwa laughed nervously. 

"Itadori you watch horror movies?" Megumi asked trying to stray away from the "Todo is an idiot" conversation which the Kyoto students were having. 

Itadori ran a hand through his hair in nostalgia as he remembered his Senpai from his old high school. 

"Yea you remember that I was in an occult club right? Anyway me and my senpai's used to visit a lot of haunted places, one of them was a stand-alone bathroom that was in the woods nearby the high school which was said to have the schools dead janitor still cleaning it" Itadori laughed as he finished the summary. 

"If they were friends with my brother then they must be gre-" Todo started but before he could finish Mai cut him off. 

"Lets hurry up and go I don't want to just stand in the front forever, "
