your first date

NEIL
• he took you to the theater to watch a play
• he was super excited about it the whole time
• it was so cute
• you actually enjoyed yourself sitting there with neil experiencing a poetical masterpiece unfold
• he took you to an ice cream parlor afterwards
• when he dropped you off at your dorm, he just stood in the doorway
• "aren't you going to leave? i have to change..."
• "not until we properly say goodbye."
• you walked toward him and put your arms around his waist while looking up at him
• "what is that supposed to mean?"
• he looked at your lips before asking, "may i?"
• you smiled and he kissed you
• you were impressed at his politeness
• you left each other with butterflies

CHARLIE
• once he finally asked you out after a few months of relentless flirting and sneaking letters, he insisted that he bring you out to dinner, without pitts knowing of course
• he brought you somewhere very nice and expensive
• of course you had old money, but charlie's family was on another level than yours
• you got all dressed up in vintage chanel that your mother bought for you
• he thought you looked incredible
• this was the first time you saw him actually serious, and you really liked it
• he would make conversations with the waiter, and even some older men he knew on the way in and out of the restaurant
• after you both finished eating, he drove you back to where your lake house was (your family was staying there for the weekend)
• you smiled at him before hesitating to kiss him again
• you couldn't kiss him for some reason
• you just wanted to make sure he was the right guy to get in a relationship with, especially because he was your brother's friend
• you left the car and apologized
• you walked inside and just fell apart
• after about three hours, you called charlie at welton and apologized again
• he was very understanding about the whole thing
• he was also very persistent which assured you he still cared

TODD
• you both knew you wanted to go on a date after sending letters to each for a while
• he finally built up the courage to ask you
• you were pleasantly surprised
• he wanted to go to the town library and give each other suggestions
• you showed up in brown tweeded dress and he wore his uniform since he just came from school
• you two both showed each other your favorites in each genre
• after you left, you went to go feed the ducks by the large pond surrounded by a field nearby
• once you ran out of bread, you both started to open up
• you were glad you two spoke on a more deep level because in your letters, you two had really only had small talk
• you found out he had troubles with anxiety and keeping himself occupied
• you told him about your mental problems as well
• once it was time for you to get back to school, you hugged him warmly
• he hugged back almost instantly which made you feel very accepted by him because he wasn't too comfortable with most people
• you said your goodbyes and he gave you a book of poetry
• you treasured it and continued to letter him

KNOX
• you two went to go catch a movie, and at this time you swore you were both "just friends" but it was obvious you weren't
• you unintentionally made knox forget about chris
• after countless opportunities of kissing him in the theater you both left
• by this time, it was late... and freezing cold, but you were both in winter clothing so it wasn't too bad
• he pulled out a small quilt from his car and laid it on the ground next to the lake
• you both started looking at the stars when you asked him, "do you ever think you'll date chris?"
• "no." he replied quickly
• at this you jotted yourself up and stared at him confused
• "you heard me."
• "what happened to you being hopelessly in love with her?"
• "i found someone else that i like better"
• "and who might that be? no one is better than chris."
• "i find that hard to believe."
• you continued to stare him down until he lifted himself up to be level with you
• "who is it?" you asked a little worried

• the word hit you like a truck
• you could've punched him in that moment but you didn't know how to feel
• he looked at you quite confused
• "what is it?"
• "i'm sorry, i just- i thought you liked chris."
• "yeah i did, but she has chet and when i first saw you i was in shock that such a pretty girl was helping me out. and one that happened to be chris' best friend."
• "well i was just trying to be helpful. i'm not going to lie i do have feelings for you but this feels weird because of chris."
• "didn't you just say yesterday that she could care less about me?"
• "yes i did but-"
• "then why are you trying to make excuses for me to not have feelings for you?"
• "i'm not sure... i just feel guilty for no reason."
• "don't feel guilty. this is a win win kind of situation... think about it. you live so close and i'll be at welton. chris has chet, and i have you."
• "oh knox you're gonna be the death of me." you giggled.
• he smiled before kissing you
• you kissed back until you felt cold snowflakes falling on your face
• you both stood up and ran back to the car
• you both woke up with colds the next day... and a very unhealthy desire to see each other
