PACKING HER ROOM up for college still didn't feel real. It felt just like she was rearranging her room or moving rooms, as she had done many times. But there was a heavy silence in the air that not even her blaring music could fix.

As she untacked concert ticks and photos from the wall she paused as her hands fluttered over a Polaroid collection. It was three pictures, all labeled 'summer training camp'. One picture was of her high school volleyball team, one of her friends from Shiratorizawa and the last one of her laying down in the lap of a redheaded boy.

A ghost of a smile appeared on her face as she admired the last one. The boy was staring at her with so much love in his eyes. She was reaching up to hold his cheek and standing in her emptied room she wore she could feel the sea breeze and ocean water that reminded her of that night.

It was her last summer at high school. Right before she became a third year, her team had gone to a summer training camp for all the schools in the district. But because of a scheduling mishap, the boys' teams were also there. It hadn't been a big deal in the end because as luck would have it, she made some new friends.

She sniffed quietly, memories resurfacing faster than she could shove them down.
