Arnav gestured Lavanya to take a seat.
"Chamkili, the head of designers is a good friend of Pam. I think they cooked this whole thing up to make you uncomfortable. I just saw Pam and her giggling over the dresses and choosing which one would be best suited for you."
Khushi's face paled. "Huh? But I never said anything to her. I was just talking to Simran at lunch saying as this is her last day, she should be herself."
Lavanya rolled her eyes. "Someone must have overheard you and gossiped about it."
"It isn't new. You used to do it." Arnav snapped at Lavanya.
Lavanya hung her head, ashamed of her old behavior.
"Arnavji. Aap bhi na... Lavanya ji koi baat nahi. Purani baat soch ke kya hoga. Humein to ye sochna hai, how do I get out of it!" (Translation: Arnavji, you please don't... Lavanya, it's nothing. Those things don't matter right now. We should think about how to get me out of this!)
"We have till afternoon to think about it. How about we get back to work in the meantime?" Arnav indirectly dismissed them.
"Let's go Chamkili. I'll show you your new desk."
Khushi left with Lavanya, and they were soon at a desk scattered with papers and a pink handbag. Simran arrived there with a cup of tea.
"Hi Khushi. This will your place starting Monday. Sorry about the mess." She kept the tea at an end and sat on her chair.
Lavanya left and soon a peon came with another chair. "Lavanya mam asked me to bring this here."
"Thank you Purushottam." Simran smiled. "Sit, Khushi. We'll go over the KM partnership once more, so you know everything, okay?"
Okay. Khushi and Simran bent over their work.

At the meeting, Khushi noticed the Simran was completely silent and noting only what the KM CEO was saying. When the meeting was over, Arnav and the other CEO shook hands and smiled. The partnership was looking just right for both of them.
"Allow me to re-introduce one of our newest members, Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta, my new PA."
"Nice to meet you", the forty something man extended his hand to Khushi.
"Namaste." Khushi folded her hands.
The man smiled. "Namaste. Dresses like an Indian and greets like an Indian. I must tell you; it's quite refreshing to see our culture being upheld when people are rushing towards western culture, ASR."
"Yes, Miss Gupta is like that. You will be connecting with her over the next few months, so I thought it best you get to meet her today."
The man smiled again. "I'll take your leave ASR."
"Let me come with you."
While everyone was impressed with Khushi, Khushi's mind was working like a bullet train at his words.

After lunch, Khushi made an excuse to go to Arnav's cabin alone.
"I know what I want you to do today."
Arnav's raised his eyebrows. "I'm listening."
"I want to be the last one to go on the ramp today."
"Okay. And?" He knew she was up to something.
"And what I want you to do is make sure no one is there when I am changing into the clothes I am going to wear."
"What? Are you saying you're okay with wearing shorts?" Arnav was confused. As much as he wanted to see Khushi in those clothes, he didn't want anyone else to.
