The day was seemingly perfect. Drista was on the beach with Dream and Sapnap. They had decided to take a last minute trip to the shore, since it was such a nice day.
Drista played around in the sand and water all day. Occasionally splashing water on Dream and Sapnap. Until they eventually started to fight back much worse. By picking her up, and threatening to toss her in the ocean. She didn't see how the day could get ruined, until she got home.
"Home sweet home." Sapnap yawned as they finally got inside. The sun was starting to set by now.
"I'm showering first, I have sand in my hair, and it's itchy." Drista told the boys.
"That's fine" Dream replied and went to the kitchen to get a drink.
-
Drista went to her room and picked out a pair of pajamas to put on, after her shower. Before heading to the bathroom, she checked her phone. Happily clicking on her chat with Ethan, seeing she had a notification from him. All it said was "call me".
Drista dialed his number and waited for him to pick up.
"Hey."
"Hey, what's up? You wanted me to call." Drista smiled.
"Yeah... where have you been all day?"
"The beach, that's all."
"Oh cool..."
"Yeah, so did you need something? Or did you just miss me?"
"I've been wanting to talk to you about something all week, but I never seemed to get the time or courage."
"What is it? Is everything okay?" Drista was growing concerned.
"Yeah, yeah of course...it's just, I'm too young to commit to you. I honestly just want to be single and work on improving myself. Plus...I don't feel like you're THE one. Don't get me wrong, you're absolutely amazing. You deserve every bit of love you get. I just don't see myself with you for the rest of my life..."
Drista felt every part of her brain overworking itself, trying to process what he just said. It's like her mind simply couldn't handle the statements he just made. "E-Ethan?"
"I'm sorry Drista...you're really awesome and all, but I'm not ready to be in a relationship."
Drista's eyes had started watering before her mind had caught up with what was going on. Tears ran down her face, creating waterfalls of emotion. "are y-you breaking up with me?" Her voice cracked.
"Yeah...but hey, you're still free to hang out with me. We can still be-" Ethan was cut off.
"Fuck you!" She hung up and tossed her phone at the wall, cracking the screen. Drista didn't know how he could do that to her. Date her for 2 months, and then decide he didn't want a relationship.
Dream heard the phone hit the wall, but thought she dropped something. "Wasn't she getting in the shower?"
"Yeah, I think so." Sapnap replied.
Dream went up and knocked on her door. "Drista? Are you showering first? Because if not, Sapnap needs to get in. He's stinking up the house." He said comically. He didn't know what just happened to Drista.
Drista held her breath, not wanting to make a sound of sadness. Though she'd soon have to answer him.
"Drista?"
Drista wiped her eyes, but more tears came. She didn't answer. Instead, she got her phone. Groaning at the cracked screen. She texted Lani quickly, while walking over and locking her room door. She didn't want Dream coming in and seeing her cry. She didn't want anyone around when she was this vulnerable.
