We still don't have any leads on the case so Hotch let us go back to the hotel for the night, I'm getting ready to go out with Elle whose finishing paperwork at the station so she's sending me to the restaurant so we can keep our reservation. I hate how unpunctual my sister is.
I chose a dress that made my body look amazing although I'm going out with my sister I'm still scoping out the ladies.
I finally finish getting ready and head out the door, when I make it to the place I call Elle.
"Hello" she says
"Elle are you sure I'm at the right place?"
"Yes I had to treat my twin to a magical evening"
"Whatever just hurry up" I smile
"I'm on the last page"
"K love you!"
"Love you too!" She hangs up
As I get closer to my table I notice a familiar blonde sitting with her back to me, once I get close enough she turns to face me
"Jareau!"
"You look amazing" she says
"Oh my gosh" I put my hand on my head
"I'm sorry Rev I had to!"
"You've got to be kidding me" I laugh
"There was no other way so I asked Elle to set this up" she says
"Betrayed by my own sister" I roll my eyes "I'm out of here!"
"No wait!"
"It will always be Jareau and McKay okay? There's nothing between us!" I say
Without warning Jareau grabs my arm spinning me around to pull me into a kiss and like a dummy I give in.
"I don't want it to just be nothing..." she says
"Jareau-"
"I want to explore this" she says
"I just don't believe you" I say looking at the ground
"So let me show you?" She lifts my chin gently so that I'm making eye contact with her
"You left me in that diner all alone-"
"And I'm sorry" she hovers over my lips "just give me a chance"
I look her in her eyes as she holds me close and I pull her even closer until our lips connect, it weirdly felt so good to have her in my arms.
"Can we have dinner?" She asks
"Okay" I playfully roll my eyes
We settled down and ordered appetizers for ourselves, I genuinely wanted to get to know her rather that kissing her all night.
"So... why now Jareau?" I ask
"Why what?"
"What changed your mind about me?" I look at the ground
"Well I realized that I was always mad at the wrong person and I think drunk me did what sober me only wished she could've done..." she says, making me look up at her.
