At Malhotra's:

Manik: "Mom, we are home.", saying he sat on the sofa.

Cabir left to his room.

Nyonika came with water.

Nyonika: "where is cabir!?", asked sitting with them.

Manik: "He left to his room mom. If he stays here, I'll talk about studying for the exams. So he left thinking wisely.", said laughingly.

Nyonika: Exams!? As in semester!?

Manik: Yes mom. We got the timetable today.

Nyonika: oh when is it starting!?

Manik: In the mid of next month.

Nyonika: And for you Mukthi!?

Mukthi: Same as for bhai mom.

Nyonika: So, we won't be able to go for trip now na.

Manik: Yes mom. After exams we will go. No problem.

Nyonika: Ok beta. Go and freshen up you both.

They both left to their rooms.
Cabir came down.

Nyonika: What were you doing cabir!?

Cabir: Nothing mom. Just got freshen up.

Nyonika: Really.

Cabir: No mom. Actually this manik na, if I get caught alone, he will start lecturing about my studies. That's why I'm avoiding him.

Nyonika: He is telling for your good only na.

Cabir: Mom, I know. But he being a "good guy" will want me to start studying from today onwards. But I cant do that.

Manik: "You are right cabir. I'm always a good guy. And if you put arrears, no play station, no pocket money, nothing for you.", said from behind.

Cabir: "Manik, stop talking to me like you are my dad.", said getting annoyed.

Manik: "Of course I'm like your dad. I'll not let you fail, neither in exams nor in life.", said looking at him.

Nyonika felt really proud talking him so maturely.

Cabir sighed and rolled his eyes.

Nyonika: ok come I'll get snacks for you.

They went.

Other side:

Priya: Really. How did manik react to this!?

Abimanyu: We convinced him maa. He is ok now.

Priya: He was so excited for the trip.

Abimanyu: Yes maa. We will go after the exams.

Priya: Sure. Atleast for him we must go.

Abimanyu nodded.

Priya: ok wait, I'll bring tea.

Thus the day went.

Next day at college:

Mukthi: when will be the study holidays!?

Aryaman: Someone here doesn't want exams, but want holidays. Is it fair!?

Mukthi: Exams cannot be canceled, atleast I can enjoy some holidays na.

Manik: Study holidays are meant for studying and preparing for exams. Not for enjoying Mukthi.

Mukthi: Bhai please. Dont start again.

Manik: Arey I'm telling the fact.

Mukthi: You and your facts. You are becoming boring bhai.

Manik: what.. I'm becoming boring or responsible!?

Mukthi made "whatever" face.

Cabir: "I'm not going to stay at home during study holidays. I'm coming to your house nandini.", told being terrified.

Nandini: "you are always welcome cabir.", said smiling.

Manik: No, everyone must be at the same place while studying.

Aryaman: Here comes another bomb.

Mukthi: Stop giving heart attacks bhai.

Manik: I know what you all will do if I'm not around while studying.

Mukthi: "We will behave bhai. We will study without getting distracted. I promise.", said with an innocent face.

Cabir: "Yeah manik. You can ask priya maa. She will keep an eye on us.", said trying to get escape.

Manik: No way. I know priya maa will believe you, but I'm not. I know you both. So stop wasting energy.

Cabir and Mukthi: bhai please.

Manik: I said No. End of discussion.

They made a sad face.

Aryaman: Guys, I think we should go to our classes.

Abimanyu: Ya, come let's go manik. You guys too leave.

All agreed and left.
