Manik: So nandini. Did you find out the reason behind my anger?

Nandini: *bowed down*

Manik: Say yes or no.

Nandini: Yes, I guess.

Manik: ok tell me. what is that?

Nandini: "I think the reason is I compared you with my brothers", she said looking down.

Manik: "Wow, my intelligent nandu!", he tried to sound angry and worried at a same time.

Nandini: "I'm sorry manik if that hurts you. I didnt mean to hurt you. What I came to say is I do feel secure being around you, like I be with my brothers. But that doesn't mean you are my brother", she said in one go and had tears at the corner of her eyes.

Manik got hurt seeing his girl cries because of him. He never wants her to cry at any cost but today she cried because of him. Still he got relieved that she confirmed his position in her life. He got up from his seat and sat next to her.

Manik cupped her face and spoke.

Manik: Nandini

Nandini just hmmed.

Manik: look to me nandu.

She does.

Manik: Who cries for all these silly things? Are you this sensitive? God, What am I going to do with my sensitive nandu? Listen. I hate your tears. Never cry for anything. Even if I hurt you, fight with me but never cry.

Nandini just nodded.

Manik: You cried because of me. Now smile for me. Come on. Wear your ever charming smile.

Nandini smiled a bit.

Manik: Listen to me nandini. First of all I was not angry, I was hurt. You compared me with your brothers na. You already have so many brothers. I dont want to be in that row.

Nandini: *blushed a little* and spoke, it's ok manik. I understand. I'm sorry.

Manik: You dont need to be.

Nandini: ok.

Manik: ok let's change the topic. I'm thirsty. I'll go get us a drink.

Nandini: I dont drink manik.

Manik: I know Nandu, we can get juices here. I'll get you a juice and me a drink.

Nandini nodded.
Manik left.

He came back with two glasses.
Orange juice in one hand and mocktail in another.

He was shocked to see nandini with a boy. Manik could only able to see his back as he is sitting opposite to nandini. She was talking and laughing with him. He fumed in anger. His jealousy roused.
