-----RAN----

Ran Kitsuky was running as fast as she could, through the halls of castle Rilavis. Trying to keep her breath even, so to not lose her footing. Just a couple more minutes and she would make it, her cape was hindering her movements. She had the book in her hands, which was shining brightly and slipping from her hand while she ran as fast as she could to the wing where the cathedrals main room was, where the podium with the magical ward were located in. She had to get the Shadow Book there in time or there would chaos.

I just know those damn elders must be getting anxious for me to bring the book back. Ran thought while trying to keep her pace as fast as she possibly could.

Peaceful sound were all that was coming from outside the castle windows, the villagers ignorant of the impending doom that was to come, if Ran didn't return the Shadow Book soon enough, to it's rightful place inside the protective ward on the podium.

Rans thoughts at the moment were getting really negative.
DAMN! FUCK!! If I don't get there now, everything is going to get fucked by these stupid death shadows inside this damn book.

Nearing the cathedral doors, Ran was breathing heavily, cursing the maze-like halls of the castle and herself
I knew I shouldn't have moved from my post. Had I stayed there, I would have seen the thief that got past the outer squadrons defense. With my sight, he wouldn't have gotten far inside the castle, much less to the Shadow Book. Ugh!!! Only stinking humans make this kind of mistakes in tactical judgement!!!

When Ran got to the doors, she pushed them open, making them slam against the wall. She didn't care for the doors breaking or anything. Ran scanned the room in one sweep of with her eyes, still in look-out mode because of the thief.

The main room was spacious but did not have many furnitures, for the room was only for keeping and guarding any magikal items, the Shadow Book being the most dangerous one of all.
The room was in an oval shape, walls of stones, as most of the castle was built with, five windows were built on the walls to illuminate the room, but it was not possible to see inside or outside the room through them, for they were too high and the windows were too thin for even the body of a toddler to pass through. The was two other doors, each on both sides of the main doors. Next to the rightmost door was a stairway that went up the tower that is the Cathedral, where the rooms of the elders were located. On the other end of the room, right in front of the main doors, was the three steps of stairs to the podium. On each side of it were a bunch of chest full of magik artifact and scroll with spell, powerful and not-so.

Three, of the Seven Magrils Elders, were standing in front of the podium, inspecting the magik ward. They looked completely out-of-character; hands trembling, sweaty foreheads and whispering to themselves in rushed words.

"Here she comes, milords!!" One of the soldiers in the room called out. There were a couple of soldiers from the inner squadron investigating the podium room and the connecting ones. The soldier closer to the main entrance heard and saw Ran rushing in and running towards the podium. When she stood in front of the steps, she kneeled on the ground, her fist to floor, awaiting for the elders to approach her.
