After arguing for another hour, Xavier and I parted ways, him having to do something with Pack Business, and me just wanting to get away from this guy.
I was currently laying sprawled out on my bed, thinking.
Thinking about the possibility of Xavier being my mate.
We still hadn't touched each other, which to my disappointment, left the question hanging in my mind. I hated this guy, but if touching him proved to me that he wasn't what I thought he was, then my stay here would be a lot more better.
There was plenty of hot guys here, even after only meeting a few I knew this.
Maybe I saw his birthmark wrong, the tales always said that the birthmarks were only placed on the more higher ranked Wolfs in a pack. This meant that my mate was in the higher ranks but maybe he wasn't in this pack. I had already met the beta and the Alpha, but not the Gamma.
There was a million possibilities-
A loud knock interrupted my thoughts.
"Who is it?" I called out.
"It's Austin, you need to be downstairs in ten minutes."
"Okay, Will do."
I sighed as he walked away.
The unanswered question was left hanging in my mind as I got up;
What if in the end he is your mate?

As I descended the stairs, I was met with the stares of about twenty people.
I stilled, what was going on?
"Ally?" The kid from earlier that day, Conner I believe, walked over to where I was and looked at me.
"What's.. what's going on?" I asked, slowly guiding my eyes from the table to him.
"Dinner is whats going on. Here I saved you a seat next to me, that way you didn't have to sit next to complete strangers."
I smiled, "Thanks, but technically we're still strangers."
He laughed,"Well say what you want, but always remember that I'm the one who lied to my Alpha and complied when you asked me to hide you."
"That is true isn't it?"
"Yeah," he smiled once again and put his hand on the small of my back guiding us to the table were two chairs sat empty."
He pulled my chair out and waited till I sat in it then pulled it in .
"Thanks."
"Your welcome."
As soon as I sat down all heads turned to the head on the table, where the Alpha himself was now standing.
All heads around me bowed, I followed suit not wanting to offended anyone at the table, and following what I would do at home.
"Thank you," he said, "You may begin your meal."
And with that, everyone picked up there forks and began eating.

Xavier's POV
As I sat down for my meal, I looked around the table. Most of my higher ranked wolves sat here; parents, children, and grandparents included.
I watched as they all talked about their days and what the latest news was.
One person in particular caught my eye though.
