31. "I love you and it scares the hell out of me!"

Since I had met Zemo, I had been in love with him. I don't know why I fell for him, but all I knew was that I was head over heels for him.

"Why am I having to watch him?" I asked as I glared at Sam.

"Because me and Buck have to go do something."

"You don't get to call me that!" Bucky yelled.

"We are not doing this again." Sam said as he followed Bucky out of the house.

I plopped down on the couch and let out a sigh.

"Looks like it's just us again." Zemo said with a smirk.

"Come near me and I will shoot you." I said sternly.

"You know you couldn't-"

I pulled my gun out and aimed it at him.

"My apologies." He said with a now of his head.

I lowered the gun and holstered it again. It went silent and I let out a sigh.

"Something on your mind?" He asked calmly.

"No. Just thinking."

His eyes went wide and I realized that I hadn't thought it. That I had in fact said the words out loud.

"I mean, I..."

"Do you think about me a lot?" He asked with a smirk.

"No! I didn't mean it like that I meant it-"

In an instant he was in my face and I felt like I couldn't breath.

"Like what, pray tell?"

"I.... Well...."

"You know I've caught you looking at me... all the time." He said calmly.

He moved back and looked me over. I instantly felt the room get hot and quickly yelled the first thing that came to mind.

"I love you and it scares the hell out of me!" I exclaimed.

I quickly smacked my hand over my mouth and looked at him shocked.

"I see. I had my suspicions, but didn't think I would be so lucky."

"Lucky?"

"(Y/n), have I not made it clear to you? I love you as well. Have for awhile. I only didn't say anything because I thought you could never possibly love someone like me." He said softly.

I felt a small smile spread across my face as I looked at my hands.

"Never hide your smile." He said as he forced me to look at him.

My heart skipped a beat as he leaned in and gently kissed me.
