As I walked through the halls A few people stared at me. I felt uneasy, like my breakfast was going to come back up. There were tons of people, and I thought my anxiety might affect me more than usual. I walked for what seemed like forever Then I heard the bell ring, and my inner panic kicked in. I started walking faster and worrying more that I wasn't watching were I was going and I bumped into someone. "Ouch!!!" I say as I try to get up off the dirty tile floor. "Oops sorry I wasn't watching where I was going- gosh your pretty," I looked up to see this gorgeous looking guy and I noticed his sea blue eyes. I was awoken out of my trance by his soft voice" hello anyone there." he said. "Oh yeah I'm fine, oops i almost forgot my name is Kora." I say still looking into his blue eyes. "I'm Tyrell." he said softly "So Kora your looking a little lost." he said with a laugh. "Wow is it that noticeable that I'm new here." I said sarcastically. "No" he reassured me "Whats your first class?" he asked me with a smirk. "Math" I said proudly because it was one of my favorite classes. "Haha sucks to be you." he laughed. I punched his shoulder. "Ouch that hurt." he said looking surprised. I started walking away leaving him there still surprised. The tarty bell rang and I found my class shortly after that and my math teacher was nice enough not to mark me absent. The rest of the class period went by so slow it was felt like a year had gone by and then the bell finally rang so I bolted up out of my seat like everyone else. As I was walking to my locker I tripped down the stairs and fell on this girl. "Oh man I'm so sorry are you okay?" I asked trying to sound friendly. "Yeah I'm fine but you should be more careful." she said with a friendly smile. "I'm Kora." I said "Tori, whats your next class?" she smiled. "Gym" I said a little annoyed. "Mine too, we can walk together." she said happily. I could tell that she was a very happy person. "Ok" I said. I really needed help finding my way around this huge school. When we arrived in the gym I saw one familiar face, Tyrell, "hey newbie, and smile pants whats up." he said with a smirk. The teacher took role then sent us to go get changed. "Umm Mr. Keating?" I asked "thats coach Keating and what can I help you with?" he said in a booming voice. "Im new and I dont have a gym locker." I said kind of not knowing what he was gonna say. "Here" he handed me a small strip of papper, it said number 135, Kora Mason, combo 5/15/10. I went into the locker room and found Tori getting dressed. "Hey Tori can I borrow some gym clothes?" I asked hopeing she'd say yes. She smiled and handed me a pair of shorts and a tee shirt. I quickly found my locker and got dressed. When I finished I ran out and we were told to line up and pick teams. There were two captions red teams caption was Tyrell. Blues caption was a girl named Jessica. Tyrell got to chose first. "I want Kora." I was shocked. Why. Why did he chose me of all people. We played capture the flag. Our team won, but Tori's team lost so they have to run laps tomorrow. So glad I was on Tyrell's team. The rest of the day went by slow. All my classes were boring and at lunch no one sat by me or even talked to me. I was so glad when school ended, "finally" I sighed as I got into Val's car. "How was school?" I could hear the sarcasm in his voice. I punched him in his shoulder and he just laughed at me. "I hate you" I mumbled. "Dad says he has a surprise for us when we get home." he said "what is it?" I asked. "I don't now." he said. And the rest of the car ride home was silent.
