The first thing I see when I wake up is Asher's smile.
"Rose," he whispers.
His body is above mine. His black hair falls around face.
I slightly smile and run my hands through his hair.
I become aware that I am in a bed. I don't recognise it.
It's king size and has a large wooden bedpost.
My head rests on a cream colored pillow.
My hair is splayed out in a halo around my head. I'm wearing my unicorn pajamas. What can I say? I love them.
Asher traces my lips. The contact sends shivers down my body.
He slowly lowers his head to kiss me.
Our lips meet and a burst of joy explodes in my body.
I've never been happier.
The aggression in our kiss starts to build.
He starts to peel his shirt off.
His beautiful eyes bore into mine with an icy passion.
I run my hands over his burning hot skin. Asher's breath hitches in his throat.
He leans back down to kiss me feverishly.
He moves his kisses down my neck and to my collarbone.
I tug at his hair.
Alarms go off in my head as he starts to push down the strap of my tank top.
I'm not ready for this!
"Asher, Stop," I say with urgency.
He pulls down the first strap and ignores me.
Flashbacks to the demons touching me run through my brain.
Tears of fear start to burn my eyes.
"Asher!" I practically scream.
He stops for a minute and looks up at with an ominous expression.
"Never tame your demons, Rose. Let them run free to terrorize and hurt everyone you've ever loved," he spits out.
"What?" I say with utter confusion.
He laughs.
"Isn't that what I've accomplished with you? All I ever do is hurt you. You secretly love it. How messed up can you be?"
He pins my body down and his lips attack my skin. He rips my tank top off my body.
"No! Don't! Please!" I beg.
Tears roll off my cheeks and onto his skin.
"This is what I am inside. Never forget that," he whispers.
I jolt awake shivering and cold.
I run my hands through my sweat-matted hair and try to breath slower.
I sit back on the chair I was sleeping in.
I shift my eyes to Asher.
He lays in my bed. His hair lazily lays on top of his face, covering his eyes.
Fear hits me in but as I think about my dream.
Asher wouldn't do that to me! Would he?
I squeeze my eyes shut and try to block out my concerns.
