I wake up the next morning in the bed alone.
That was expected, because Asher slept on the floor.
He hasn't even asked me what God told me.
I want to ask him about what side he's on. Its been very unclear.
God or Lucifer? I know what side I'm on. It's pretty obvious.
I feel the bed tip to the right.
"Hi Rose," he smiles.
I slightly smile.
I wonder how long it is until I can go back up to the real world.
I want to see my Mother and Father. They must be worried sick!
He seems to read my mind.
"Rose, I'm sorry."
I get off the bed and cross my arms.
Asher comes to me.
He pulls my body to his.
My head rests in top of his chest.
"Oh Rose," he sighs.
"Asher?" I ask slowly raising my head to look at him.
He cocks an eyebrow.
"Yes?"
"How come everyone thinks your so horrible? How come they don't see the good in you?" I whisper.
He lets out a tuff of air.
"Because some people are too scared to look underneath," he finally says.
I grab his hand and draw circles in his palm.
Asher takes my chin and gently moves it up so I'm looking at him in the eyes.
"But you, Rose White, dared to tame the beast. You looked underneath the façade, and found...me."
Asher leans down to kiss me, but we are interrupted by the front door blowing off it's hinges.
Startled, I turn around.
I meet the hideous eyes of the demon that captured me in my bedroom.
"Thought you could run away from me?" It asks.
