"Mom, where are you going?.." the soft plea of a six year old little girl made the woman turned around."I'm going away.." She replied with a stern voice. The little girl's eyes became swollen. A small sob on her lips.
"Can I go with you mom? Please take me with you. I don't wanna be alone..Daddy's so busy. He didn't even play with me.." The girl plead. While gently tugging the hem of the woman's dress.
But the woman jerked away. And pushed the little girl to the floor.
"Can't you see why I'm going away? It's because I'm so tired of baby sitting you! I don't want you..!" She yelled pushing and pricking the little girl's head.
The soft yet tiny voice of the girl whimpered in pain.
"Why?...Don't you love me, mom?.." She said in between sobs. Her frail little body laid on the cold floor wincing in agony.
The woman laughed. Making a very disgusted sound. She's still laughing as she walks away not even caring the tiny body crawling eagier to follow her.
"Nooo mom! Please don't leave me..Noo..!"
... ... ... ... ...
"...Nooo mom! Please don't leave me..Noo..!"
Sahara was sweating from head to toe as she suddenly wake up in the middle of the night. She sat up on her bed and pulled up the covers while slowly gaining her accelerated heartbeat. Her dream seemed so real.
When she touched her cheeks, it was wet. She can even feel the pain of the little girl both physically and emotionally making her heart sore.
Funny is, she felt that she was that little girl. She felt her pain when she was wincing on the floor like it was her own body.
Every fiber of her nerves were trembling. The soft chilling wind coming from the open glass windows of her room making an odd clicking sound that she quickly pulled the covers up blanketing her entire body.
"Fuck!.." she muttered. Her breathing was rugged.
Sahara was afraid of the dark. Especially when she was alone. It reminded her of the nights when she was yelling and crying while calling for her mom. That no one answered her but the cracking sound of the windows of her room.
Just like tonight.
That was before she started drinking and going out so late, she was so drunk and wasted that she no longer mind whether she slept alone or not. And she would have a peaceful sleep all because of the alcohol.
Thinking those thoughts, she slowly crept from the covers and grab the bottle of whisky she brought earlier.
She immediately yank the bottle and drunk it until her eyes and nose were burning with alcohol. She needed to be totally wasted just so she can sleep. This was her sleeping pill.
Sahara was coughing so hard when the alcohol ran up and down on her nostrills. She can smell her puke.
The hot and burning warmth of the whisky travelled down on her throat.
And after for so many minutes passed, she felt her body's lightness. Like she's floating in the air. She no longer was afraid of the dark and she felt that she needed some air. The room seems so suffocating.
She clutched the headboard for support as she stand up feeling a little dizzy.
When she walks towards the door she muttered a curse when she tripped on the empty bottle of whisky she never thought she have dropped on the floor.
Feeling a little woozy, she slowly take a step on the dark hallway. Clinging everything on the wall.
"Shit..! What so fucking wrong with this house? It looks so damn like a haunted chamber.. so weird..so creepy.." She mumbled to herself. While inching few steps through the dark hallway.
She have reached the end part of the dark scary hallway when she spotted an opened dim lighted room.
Feeling curious, she slowly strides towards it's direction and crept just behind the door.
The room was large. With a king size bed at the center just right across the windows. But the real thing that caught her eyes was the creature laying on the bed.
The man was shirtless. Wearing only a plain white boxers. He was laying with his chest on the bed. Arms hugging a pillow that she gasps when she peep strong and well-shaped muscles of his arms.
She felt the urged to come closer. Or maybe the alcohol making her bold and wild.
The man was a heavy sleeper. He didn't even flinched when she slowly sits on the side of the bed. He even made light snores. Which Sahara thought was sexy. She softly laughed to her self at her weird idea.
When the man moaned and slowly fliped upward, his image was becoming clearer.
"Holy shit..! Seems like I'm inside the room of this fucking hot lord.." she mused while cracking up tiny giggles, never knowing her voice was so loud. Alcohol makes her even braver.
Hearing her loud voice, the man's eyes snapped open.
He was startled to see Sahara's goofy expressing lurking in the dark, smiling and hair rumpled.
"Sara..?" he softly heaved out a stunned voice. Eyes opening wide with disbelief.
She laughed out loud. Rolling on her stomache. Earning a more wide eyes from the man.
"...look at yourself you dork! You look like you've seen a ghost..okay, a very lovely ghost.." she muttered. Still stiffling a laugh.
Patrick sat up on the bed wearing a frown and serious face. He quickly grab a shirt from his drawers and began wearing it when Sahara stopped his hands.
"...why are you dressing up, handsome? Aren't you glad that I am here..?" she softly plea in a very sultry voice.
"My lady..why are you here? It's past midnight. Your supposed to be asleep.." Patrick groaned in a very restrained way. His eyes from blue green to pewter.
She inch forward to him. That the tip of their feet touching. She can literally feel the warmth of his body against her.
"Aren't you happy that I'm here, my lord..?" she whispered gently to his face.
Patrick backed away. He was looking at her with an annoyed face.
"...have you been drinking all night?" he thundered. His voice was poisonous as he stared at her with disgust.
Sahara caught off guard. Clearly offended by his backing away move. She's just felt so alone. And his bitter gestures adding up the pain.
She didn't answered him as she slowly take a step away. Maybe, just maybe, everyone didn't wanted her. Despise her. And the thought brought tears to her now reddened eyes.
