we all gazed at the lights for what felt like a year. before we knew it the sky turned dark. "how long have we been standing here." Danika said. we continued to gaze at the lights. "we should probably go." I said. we all agreed. we started to walk down the road at night. it was almost pitch black. none of us could see a single thing. "I cant see shit in the dark." Danika said. the only light we had was the light from the city and even that barley helped. "I wish we had a light." Leah said. Leah's necklace began to glow. the light shinned bright. bright enough for all of us to see where we're going. "I like that necklace a lot more." I said. Leah smiled. we continued to walk down the road to Vegas. "so what did I miss while I was gone?" I asked. Danika looked at me with a smile. "I learned something while you were away." Danika said. I was interested. "oh really, and what's that?" I asked. Danika chuckled. "I learned that you two would make a perfect couple." Danika said. Me and Leah looked at each other. "Why would you say that!" we yelled. Danika laughed. "what, I'm just saying that you two look cute together." Leah covered her face for the rest of the walk.

we were half way to the city and I can tell that Danika was exhausted and Leah was tired. "we should take a break for now." Danika suggested. "I suppose your right Danika." I answered. "Its not like you to use such fancy vocab." Leah said. we gathered sticks into a pile and started a fire. Danika and Leah slept under a tree next to the fire. I sat on a log in front of the fire and made sure the fire was burning. I tried to fall asleep but every time I close my eyes, a cold feeling of dread and fear washes over my body. I stayed awake for what felt like hours. Leah woke up. "why are you awake this late at night?" Leah asked. "I Could say the same for you." I said. Leah sighed. Leah sat next to me in front of the fire. "why aren't you asleep?" Leah asked. I could feel her arm next to mine. "I keep having nightmares." I responded. Leah laid her head on my shoulder. "I'm worried about you Zack, more then anything." Leah said. I started to blush. thoughts were racing through my head. "what do I do." I said to myself. I looked back at Leah. "That's awfully kind of you to be thinking of me, but trust me I'm gonna be just fine." I said. I noticed Danika staring. Danika gave me a thumbs up. "go for it." Danika whispered. I shook my head.  Leah moved slightly. My balance I had sitting on the log wasn't good and I fell on the ground. As I fell Leah fell right on me. Leah was still sleeping. I didn't want to wake her up. I accidentally fell off my seat, Leah fell as well. "damn it your to scared." Danika said. It was faint but I could still hear her. Leah slept on my chest. My heart was beating so fast. I don't know how Leah cant hear it. I drifted off to sleep peacefully.

the next day arrived. I could see the sunlight through the trees. I opened my eyes and Leah was resting her head on my chest. "good morning, how did you sleep?" Leah asked in a tired but cute voice. "better than before." I responded. My cheeks turned pink. "what are you getting so flustered for?" Leah asked. I didn't know how to respond. "all I did was sleep next to you." Leah said. I could see that Leah was blushing a little as well. just a little bit. "I just, never slept next to a woman before." I said. Leah blushed. "your so sweet, but I'm only sixteen." Leah said. I kept on stuttering when I tried to say something, the words just never came out. "I, uh, uh." I stuttered. My body was shaking. "you know, your pretty cute when your nervous." Leah said. I sat up from the ground. "You really think so?" I asked. Leah giggled. "All right love birds!" Danika yelled. I gave Danika a stern look. "Let's get into the city all ready." Danika said. Leah sighed. "as much as I hate the way she said it, she's right." I said. I noticed that Leah didn't say anything to Danika. was she alright with it. I'm probably overthinking thinking it, she's probably used to it by now. Leah started blush. "don't mind Danika, she gets like this a lot." I said. Leah giggled. "you don't have to apologize, I'm okay with it." Leah responded. I have no clue what Leah meant by that, but I think something is wrong. "Leah, are you, alright?" I asked. Leah giggled and her face turned pink. "Of course I am silly, why wouldn't I be." Leah responded. I shook my head. "you've just been acting differently lately." I said. Leah smiled and walked with Danika.
