the longer I had stayed in the underworld, the hotter it became. I could see that Supesu was dying from the heat. Supesu waved her fingers and the air started to break again. "We should leave before it gets hotter." Supesu had said under her heavy panting. We entered the portal and we ended up back at the gates. "Where is this exactly?" I asked. I could feel the immense amount of sweat on my shirtless body. "we are beyond space and time." Supesu responded. another portal had appeared behind me. "Sevagoth is growing stronger by the second, he will escape his one hundred thousand year suffering very soon." Supesu had said. Supesu looked me in the eyes. "Listen, he cant be that strong." I added. Supesu flicked my forehead. "You know the world used to be together, as humans call them continents, the world used to be one whole continent." Supesu said. My teachers used to tell me about this in school. "Sevagoth's rage alone cause the world to have natural disasters." Supesu added. I had taken back everything that I just said. "The war between you two had caused the whole world to separate to what it is now." Supesu added. this guy had started to scare me a bit. "he will stop at nothing to finish what he started." Supesu added. A shock of fear had spread throughout my body. "He will come after you and he will kill you." Supesu added. Supesu suddenly hugged me. I don't know why she didn't stop, I was still drenched in sweat and burning. "I'm sorry if I'm scaring you, I didn't mean for that to happen!" Supesu cried. I guess she's a softie. "No its okay." I replied. "I think I should get back." I said. I walked to the shattering air that is the portal. "Hey phoenix!" Supesu yelled. I turned to face her. "try not to die, please?" Supesu asked. I nodded my head. "I got a lot more to do, so I don't think ill be dying anytime soon." I replied. We both giggled. I walked through the portal with the sword in hand.
I ended up back at the trees. the trees that Aqua chained me to. The sun had started to rise. the sky was a beautiful orange with pink clouds in the sky. I started feeling the cool breeze against my burning hot skin. steam started pouring out my body. Leah appeared from behind the trees. "You're back!" Leah yelled. Leah ran up to me with open arms. open arms that hugged me. I was happy to see her again. I dropped my sword onto the ground. I picked her up and twirled around with her in my arms. I gently put Leah back on the ground. the steam that poured out from my body twirled in the air. "Where did you go and why is your body steaming?" Leah asked. Leah's blond hair was messy and in her face. I dragged my fingers pushing her hair behind her ear. "Its a long story." I responded. The grass that we were standing on looked as if it were a wave like the ocean. the wind was causing the trees to sway, so gently. as the sun had continued to rise, the colors in the sky were more vibrant. the light of the rising sun reflected off Leah's eyes. it looked as if golden dust was in her eyes. "I was so worried when you left!" Leah cried. I pulled Leah closer to me. "even if I leave, I will always come back for you." I responded. the way that Leah's hair blew through the wind was so, elegant. "We should, get back to the others." Leah suggested. I picked up Hexcalibur. "Yeah, we should." I added. A weird feeling had filled my head. the only thing I felt was, wanting to be near Leah. "So where did you get that Katana?" Danika asked. I had no idea where she came from. "Don't sneak up on me!" I yelled. Danika laughed. "so, are you and Leah together?" Danika asked. I scratched my head. "What do you mean?" I replied. Danika sighed. "dating!" Danika yelled. "Why would you think that." I said. I started stuttering. "Well Leah is really pretty and nice, but I don't think I would date her." I explained. Danika laughed and walked off. "You should put on a shirt!" Danika yelled back. she's right. I really do, need an extra shirt.
it has been a week since I remade the sword. my body was still producing steam from being in the underworld. It was in the middle of the night where the noise of the steam kept me at night. I was fed up with that noise. This happened a lot. To drown out the noise I'd practice using my sword. just by holding Hexcalibur I could feel the great power coming from it. I'd practice swinging my sword at a tree. that is until I accidentally cut it in half. I found a tree that looked sturdy enough. I kept swinging Hexcalibur at the tree. I got better at handling Hexcalibur. I know its good for me to do training with Hexcalibur. But I felt as if it wasn't enough. I suddenly herd a stick break. I behind me and Aqua was sitting on a trunk of a tree that I accidentally cut down, with her trident in hand. "Your stance used to be better." Aqua said. Aqua stood up and waved her finger telling me to follow. "Come with me, I'll help you." Aqua suggested. I followed her deep into the woods. "Where are you taking me?" I asked. Aqua said nothing. we ended up at the shores of a lake, with a small waterfall pouring down from a small hill. Aqua told me to walk in the lake. I walked in the lake as I was told. The lake was shallow, barely up to my ankle. As I took each step, a bright light blue color shined where I stepped. Aqua walked into the lake as well. "this is where you're going to train." Aqua claimed. a bright white light filled my eyes. Another memory. I was standing at a lake, it looked a lot like this one. Aqua has there to. she was in a fighting stance with her trident in hand as well. The memory dissipated. Aqua had the same stance as she did in my memory. "strike me." Aqua said. I didn't want to, but we are in training. I swung my sword and Aqua blocked it. the sparks from the metal clashing was like fireworks. I had both hands on my sword and struck again. Not only did Aqua block it, she also hit me with her trident. The force of the blow pushed me back. I rolled against the rocky floor of the lake. A trail of the bright blue light marked what happened. I kept striking and striking. With each strike had failed each time. this went on for what felt like hours. Until I started seeing another memory. the same as before. Me and Aqua in the lake. We started fighting with our weapons. But it wasn't really fighting. we were happy, smiling. I soon realized we were practicing. I could see my stance that I had in the past. Aqua was right. My stance used to be a lot different. I studied the form I used in the past as much as I could. I started to mimic what past me was doing. I got used to it. the swings, the footwork, the flips and the strikes. the memory disappeared.
I was on the ground in the lake. I was soaking wet. "Give up yet." Aqua said in a mocking tone. I shook my head. "You wish." I responded. I got up from the ground. My body had stopped steaming. but I was cold, tired and sore. "That's the phoenix I know!" Aqua yelled. I used the fighting style that I used in the memory. Aqua had a surprised look on her face. We fought together for what felt like hours. The splashing of the water created little waves. until I won. "I finally won." I celebrated. It felt great. I could see a ribbon of water surrounding Aqua. The water had shot at my face. sending me to the ground. "you always pull some stupid stuff out of nowhere." Aqua claimed. I wiped the water from my eyes. "Looks like your a bit sore looser to me." I teased. Aqua whacked her trident into my stomach. it hurt, a lot. we laughed and slept the night away.
weeks went by. I continued to train with Aqua. The training got more difficult and challenging each time. This is one of the only times that I've seen Aqua not being flirty with me. I still don't understand why I felt uncomfortable with her kissing me. Every time that Aqua would kiss me or be flirty with me, Leah would look angry. I ignored it until now, when Aqua asked me. "So why do you get nervous around Leah so much?" Aqua asked. I didn't know what to say to that. "I don't get nervous around her." I answered. Aqua laughed. The sound of the sword and the trident clashing and clanging together filled the area. the cold water covered our feet. "Why do you like me so much?" I asked. Supesu stopped. something about the question spooked her. "Don't ask me that, lets just continue." Aqua said. we continued training until I tried blocking an attack from Aqua. Aqua's trident slid past my block and pierced my chest. the sheer force of pain had spread throughout my entire chest. I screamed in agony. "Oh my god, Phoenix I'm so sorry!" Aqua yelled. the black blood had soaked the spikes on the trident. I struggled to keep my eyes open. "Just, get, help." I begged. My vision went black and I fell into the shallow water.
I woke up on a pile of clean green leaves. well they would've been clean if it wasn't for my blood on them. I could see Leah was sleeping with her head on my stomach. My wounds were covered in bandages. I stroked Leah's hair. "I hope I didn't give you too much of a scare." I whispered. Leah shot up. "You're awake!" Leah yelled. I could see the tears that were on her face. I laughed. "Looks like I over did it a little." I said. Leah punched my chest. "Why'd you do that?" I yelled. the punch had hurt, even if it was just a tap. "You scared me, I thought you died!" Leah cried. Leah threw another punch. "Sorry, I didn't want to scare you." I said. Leah removed the dirty bandages on my chest and added a new one. Our hands suddenly grazed each other. "sorry I didn't mean to." I apologized. Leah said nothing, she just smiled. I could see that Leah started to blush. this went on for days. the same thing over and over. Her company put a smile on my face. we would talk for hours. we would talk until the sun went down. every time she visited, I would always ask. "Are you okay?" I'd ask. and her response was always the same. "I'm better now that I'm around you." when I fully recovered, I surprised Leah about it. When Leah saw my wounds had recovered, she gave me the biggest and longest hug. Leah and I blushed together. That was when I realized. I now knew why I was nervous around Leah. I found out that I was absolutely in love with her. I think Danika knew as soon as she saw us. I didn't mind, neither did I care. All I wanted was for Leah to stay close by my side.
