Family Picnic

Maria Hill was always busy and she hated that. She wanted to spend more time with her wife and son, but her job kept her busy.

Luca was no more then 6 years old and he was a very active and talkative little boy. It was hard to adopt him being two women, but after the long process of waiting they got their son.

They were chosen by a young 16 year old who wanted better for her son. Y/N and Maria ever since have kept the birth mother in the loop if she wanted photos or anything.

But Luca is a happy child who is full of life and makes Y/N proud to watch him grow. But also depressed because Maria was always busy.

But today Maria was down making breakfast which was alittle confusing to see.

"Hey you're home?" Y/N questions.

"I am. I actually have the whole day off. So I was thinking we have a family picnic at the park." Maria says.

"Really?" Y/N questions.

"Yeah the park sounds fun." Maria says.

"No. I mean you being off today. That can happen?" Y/N questions.

"Okay very cute. Nick said to take the day off. So I already packed a picnic last night and will go around 11ish." Maria says.

"Sounds great." Y/N says.

They called their son down for breakfast and then they headed to the park. To which Luca was really excited to run around and have fun.

"Wow he has really grown." Maria says watching him play.

"Yeah. He's really becoming the best kid in the world." Y/N says.

"All because of you no doubt." Maria says.

"Well... Yeah. I am pretty amazing. Though he misses you around. We both do." Y/N says.

"And I miss you both as well. I sometimes get this thought that one day you'll both get fed up with my job and leave." Maria says.

"Hey that will never happen. We love you. I knew what I was getting into from the start. You help keep everyone safe and that includes your family. We will never go anywhere. Maybe he will when he is older, but I'll always be here." Y/N says.

Maria grabbed her hand and kissed her. Y/N kissed back giving her the love and passion she deserves.

"I dont know how I got so lucky." Maria says.

"Neither do I. I love you." Y/N says.

"I love you more." Maria says.

"And you both love me the most." Luca says and hugged his mothers.

Their little family enjoyed the rest of their day together and Maria knew that she was going to have to have more days like this. Because her family is her everything.
