**Before i start i have one thing to say. Well maybe a few things and a few people to thank. I am do happy because on my wall I finally have comments! I was starting to think my stories sucked. Lol. Well anyway I would like to thank those people who said that they loved all my stories and especially this one. I think this one is my favorite too. So thank you and I love when you guys comment**
*Oh, and I know the wait has literally been like a century but the chapter is finally here. So yay. And some people are saying this story is just like a copy of pirates of the caribbean and it may be but it wasn't suppose to be when I started it. Actually the hole story was suppose to be different than this but I still love this story so much. But it is original and I didn't copy anything.*
EVAN'S P.O.V.
Is it possible to feel like you were dead? Like to literally feel like you were dead inside but outside you were still living, walking, breathing, talking?
That's how I felt.
I am dead in the inside but I'm still living on the outside.
It's been a week. A hole week.
That small hut that me and everyone else have has grown in size and we are planning on making bedrooms. Finally somewhere I can cry in private.
I climbed down from the huge tree I was in. I was in a tree because I had to get something on the roof of the house to block out rain. It surprisingly rains a lot.
I walked back inside and made sure no more water was leaking through. Once I learned that I succeeded I walked into the one finished room. Everyone said I should have it because they want to be nice but I know that they just don't want me to mope around in the living room. It's wasn't much of a living room but everyone calls it that.
I rested on the uncomfortable bed and I looked at a seashell on the nightstand.
I heard somebody walk in and I turned over. It was Kristanna and Hollie.
"What?" I asked rudely.
"Somebody's moody." Kristanna shot back.
"You guys shut up!" Hollie yelled.
"Why is she so on edge?" I asked Kristanna, ignoring Hollie.
"Heck if I know." She said and slumped against the wall.
Hollie looked mad but happy at the same time. "you guys please shut up or I will seriously burst. Now shut up." she said calmly. "I think that we can bring Syrinia back."
I jumped up. "What? How?"
"I was looking through some books because I need to learn more about us to become the leader type of person and so anyway there is a way to bring mermaids back to life if they weren't stabbed with something with the seaweed. And the knife that bastard used didn't have the horrible seaweed. You have to burry them in sand and surround them with Febrtaric seaweed. It's a healing seaweed but it's very rare. But luckily it grows around here. I sent some mermen to search for some. I also told them to look out for humans cause I really don't want another attack. But anyway we have to do that and then say some words in Latin and then we have to wait. It could take a minute to 3 days for it to work but she will be alive and then we will have to start more healing stuff before she dies again. This only brings them back to life, not heal them."
"Well then let's go and start." I said and rushed out the door.
"Wait, Evan." Hollie grabbed my arm.
"What?" I asked, worried when I saw her expression.
"There's a problem." She sighed. "The Febrtaric seaweed is rare and it's healing properties sometimes switch. Even if we do find the seaweed it might not work. The seaweed is very powerful and sometimes it's properties reverse to poison."
I slumped against the wall and slid to the ground. I put my hand on my forehead and pulled my knees up to my chest.
"Well we have to try." I said finally.
"If the Febrtaric switches to poison then we can't try it again. There will be no way of ever bringing her back." Kristanna said. "When I was younger I use to play with seaweed. For some reason I was obsessive over the different types and what there purpose. And....I accidentally hurt somebody because I was stupid to play with Febrtaric. I killed somebody I loved. And I want you to be cautious if you do this. You might not have her back and I can't have you go through this hard time again. Don't get your hopes up, Evan."
I nodded, not really paying attention to her words.
"Once I find the seaweed I will tell you, Evan. Me and a few other palace guards are gonna go search for it. Kristanna will stay here." Hollie said.
"No, I want to go with." I protested.
Hollie looked over at Kristanna and they shared a look.
"Febrtaric is grown in a dangerous place." Hollie explained.
"But you said it grows around here."
Kristanna explained,"It does. It grows under the island. Going under this island is pretty much a death sentence. There's sharks, electric eels, sword fish, giant squid, and.. there's a kraken. Our people have worshiped this kraken. The kraken gave us part of the island a hundred years ago and if we go to the kraken's part it will attack. It's territorial. We have sent there many guards after it over the past 50 years. None have returned. So brave mer-people have volunteered to go kill the great kraken but none of them have been seen ever since they left."
"Well then we will be the first." I said confidently.
"I like your enthusiasm." Kristanna commented.
I rolled my eyes. "We have to go and do this for Syrinia."
Hollie nodded. "Lets get prepared then. This is gonna be dangerous and very risky. But for Syrinia."
~~~~~~
So I know it's an incredibly short chapter but the next chapter will be more exciting and interesting.
