october 17, 1982.
amelia was living at her mothers house currently due to losing her job so she had nothing to do all day besides clean the house and watch tv all day. she sat down and relaxed on her couch and turned the tv on to watch the news.
"this just in, arne johnson will be released tomorrow for first degree manslaughter. he claimed "the devil made him do it" as he was supposedly under posse-" before the news reporter could finish, the tv was turned off by her mom, cindy.
"what was that for?" amelia asked. "there's no such thing as possession, that horrible boy is lying. he was not possessed and the judge is stupid enough to believe his lies." cindy said, "the boy should be on death row right now, not running free on these streets."
amelia just sighed, not knowing what to believe. "maybe he was possessed mother, i've read many books about evil spirits, witchcraft and possession. it's not that unlikely, and many others believe him too so why don't you?" amelia asked.
"there's no such thing as possession, amelia. that boy is a flat out liar and i'm scared for our town that they're letting out that criminal." cindy finished before walking away, visibly angry. 'maybe she's right and he just needed an excuse to get a shorter sentence' she thought. she shook her thoughts and got up and walked to her room and prepared for bed.

this is a short chapter lol sorry!! i just kinda want to introduce amelia a bit and i didn't wanna put a whole bunch into one chapter. i will be uploading everyday, maybe even more than once a day. ;)
