Talia walked through the field of flowers, loving the scent of them. It was the only peace she could have these days after marrying the devil himself. She was officially Queen Talia, her status raised but her heart was drowning. No one could say no to the King. Her wedding night had proven that to be true. Her dignity was taken away, leaving excruciating pain after. And that pain never ceased.
Even after she'd given him a strong son, her beautiful baby boy Lucian, it just wasn't enough. She even remembered the day a young vampire strolled into the Kingdom, claiming she had also had his son. She had named him Markus and left without a word.
Talia made it her responsibility to take care of him, knowing that it wasn't his fault he had a horrible mother and the devil as a father. Talia never cared about the women he took. In reality, she prayed he'd take another woman to warm his bed at night instead of her.
The boys laughed and played in the field as she knit when Lycaon decided to make his appearance. She thought about how he was such a pitiful and ruthless King.
"What the hell are you two doing?!" Alerted, Talia stopped and sat up straight as her boys paused their game in fear. "Aren't you two supposed to be in the fucking training room?! Yet I find you all in a field of pussy flowers playing around off guard!" He roared, causing them to whimper.
Talia stood up, glaring and unfazed by his anger. "They were playing as normal 11-year-olds should." She grits out, turning his attention to her. The most he'd do was throw insults at her and cause harm to those she loved. Even if they were his children as well.
"When will you get it that they are not normal 11-year-olds?! They are soldiers and future kings just as you bred them to be." He growled, snatching the two boys by their hair. She growled in anger at the harm to her children but was held down by guards when she tried to intervene.
"Curse you Lycaon. My sons will be your ruin and I can't wait until that day comes."
He gave her a menacing grin, dragging the screaming boys away from her.
