TW // panicking

"G'morning," Awsten mumbles once he wakes up, his voice low and groggy.

"Fuck. It's too early," Sunny groans, burying her head into Awsten's chest. "I don't want to get up for work."

"When do you have to be there?"

"Mm, ten am."

"It's, like, nine thirty," Awsten says, causing Sunny to bolt up.

"Jesus fucking christ. I have time to get back to my apartment and then to work I think. Hoping I do." Sunny walks a little bit funny. She looks around for her clothes from last night. "Where the fuck-"

"The kitchen," Awsten says shyly, sitting up and rubbing the back of his neck.

"Oh, yeah. That was amazing, Awsten."

"I- uh.."

"You're all shy now," she pouts playfully as she walks back over to him. "You got so aggressive last night though. I liked it. Didn't expect any of it from you but god was it hot."

Awsten's face is bright red as she leans closer. Sunny presses a kiss to his cheek, swiftly moving away. She scribbles down her number on a sticky note on his bedside table. Sunny rushes out the door once she's back in her clothes, taking a sticky note from Awsten with his number on it and kissing him along the way.

Awsten expected to never see Sunny again. Sure, they exchanged numbers, but at the same time, he figured she'd want nothing to do with him. However, later that afternoon, she calls him.

"Hi Awsten," she says.

"Hey Sunny."

"So, I was thinking we could go out tonight?"

"Oh?" He processes what she said, nodding to himself. "Yes. I'd like that a lot."

"Good. Listen, I don't have a car so do you want to pick me up? Unless you want to just meet at the location we decide on."

"I can pick you up," he assures. "Uh, we can go get dinner or something."

"It's a date."

She hangs up a few minutes later because she has to go to work. Awsten taps his fingers on his phone case, memories of the night before flooding his mind. His face heats up and he quickly buries his head into his pillow, screaming quietly into it.

"Geoff, what should I wear?" he asks, looking at his friend.

"If you're going to a fancy restaurant, a nice button up."

"Yeah but which one?"

"Anything seems okay, I think."

Awsten groans and hit his head against the wall lightly. He stares at his closet a few moments longer before settling on a black long sleeve button up and black dress pants. He puts on a chain and all of his rings. Looking in the mirror, he feels a little confident. He thinks he looks pretty good. He heads out of his room to show Geoff, earning two thumbs ups of approval.

Once Geoff is out the door, Awsten takes the time to calm down. He already called the restaurant to make the reservation earlier that day. He'll be picking Sunny up in a few minutes.

As he's driving to her apartment, he's trying not to feel too anxious. He likes her, she likes him, it'll be fine. He turns his music up a little louder to drown out his thoughts.

Awsten pulls into a parking spot and heads into the apartment building. He checks his phone to see which number Sunny's apartment is. When he finds it, he knocks on the door. Taking a step back, Awsten takes deep breaths.
