(A/N) Uh- Thank you to everyone who left their ideas! I had an idea but didn't know how to write it out, and the ideas helped me a lot-! :D

Kokichi : "Well~? Tell me tell me tell me tell me! I'm your best friend!"

Y/N : "What? No, you're not! And it doesn't matter!"

Well- It doesn't matter to him. But... the way they just started hanging out is a bit strange to me. Ever since we got here, I assumed that Gonta didn't hang out with anyone else, which is kind of rude on my part. But I've spent most of my time with him, so how did he and Shinguuji get so close? Maybe... Maybe they knew each other before? Maybe they knew each other way longer than I knew Gonta. Maybe Gonta just likes Shinguuji more than me. Maybe I should stop thinking about it before I hurt my own feelings. But maybe it's true- But maybe-

Kokichi : "Boring..."

Y/N : "Huh-"

Kokichi : "You having your inside monologue is weird and boring to watch... also the couple left."

Y/N : "COUPLE- I MEAN- LEFT?!"

Kokichi : "Mhm! They looked so happy too! I think they went uhm... that way!"

Y/N : "Oh- You're telling the truth right now, right?"

Kokichi : "Hmm... maybe! Why? You wanna follow them! Oh! oh! Let's spy on them! Since I'm part of a secret evil organization I'm suuuuper good at this kind of stuff."

Y/N : "... No. No, I think... he'll be fine. If he wants to hang out with Shinguuji, then that's his choice!"

Kokichi : "Whaaa?? Humph. You're such a bummer, Y/N."

Kokichi tried to get me to agree with- whatever kind of plan he's thinking of- But... I don't wanna get into his business. If he wants to hang out with Shinguuji, then that's fine.

~~ Timey Skippy - Next Day ig ~~

After getting ready like usual, I head over to the cafeteria. Perhaps I could ask Gonta about the garden since we haven't really added anything else to it. I open the door and scan the table, but instead of seeing Gonta with a saved seat next to him, there was Shinguuji, sitting where I usually sit. The only seat left was one sitting next to Kaito, Shuichi, and Maki. I... Welp- Either I sit with them or don't eat so-

Maki : "Hey. Y/N."

Y/N : "Huh? O-oh- Uh, sorry for staring I just saw that this was the only seat left and was wondering-"

Shuichi : "Ah, you wanted to sit... with us?"

Y/N : "Yeah! I hope that's okay with you guys?"

Kaito : "Hmm... I'm sure it's fine. I always thought you liked hanging out with Gonta though?"

Maki : "They just said this is the only seat left, you idiot. If they could sit with Gonta they wouldn't bother coming over here."

Kaito : "Oh yeah... wait, idiot!?"

Maki and Kaito kept going back and forth, but all I could do was watch Gonta (like the simp I am). Since the two were at the other side of the table, I couldn't hear them clearly. But I could see that they seemed to be having a good time. As I stared, I feel a tap on my shoulder.

"Excuse me, L/N."

Y/N : "Hm?"

Oh- Kirumi was standing right next to me, carrying a teapot in one of her hands and a tray of teacups in the other.

Kirumi : "Pardon me for interrupting, but would you like a cup of tea?"

Y/N : "Oh! Uh... sure."

She nods, places the cup on the table, and continues walking around the table. Everyone enjoys the tea and generally just has a nice time, ignoring the situation they could be in.

Shuichi : "Uhm, hey... Y/N? I was wondering..."

Shuichi circled his finger around his teacup.

Y/N : "Mhm?"

Shuichi : "You can Gokuhara seem to hang out a lot, and I was wondering if you two were like... a thing?"

I didn't even drink my tea yet but I felt like spitting it out-

Y/N : "HUH- I- Sorry sorry- No, no, no, we're just uh, friends right now."

Shuichi : "Oh! No no, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have assumed..."

Y/N : "I-It's okay, that just caught me off guard-"

...I just realized I said "right now" oh god oh dear oh no why did I say that.
He played it off but- He's the Ultimate Detective, so he must've noticed that, right?? Uhm- I just awkwardly start drinking my tea. Shuichi starts thinking to himself, and a few people start getting up to continue with their days.

~ Y/N tries to finish their tea as quickly as possible and goes to their room to cry from their lack of Gonta Time™️ ~

Hhhhh why am I even here anymore- How much longer are we supposed to stay here? ...Is it forever? Oh god is it- Groan... I wish this was easier, like, there's a puzzle we have to solve, or a secret key, anything! Just so I don't have to be stuck here with Gonta and K-

Suddenly, there's... a knock. Oh, someone's here? *Gasp* Is it Gonta? Maybe it is! I jump out of bed and open the door.

Y/N : "Hey! Finally you show up!"

Shuichi stands in the doorway with a blank stare.

Shuichi : "Uhm... were you expecting me...?"
Y/N : "Oh! No, uhm. It's nothing, come on in!"

Shuichi awkwardly walks inside, scans the room and sits down on the floor.

Shuichi : "...So!"
Y/N : "Uh- Yeah?"
Shuichi : "I... Uhm... I'm just come out and say it- You like Gokuhara, correct?"
Y/N : COUGH "HUH HAHA WHAT"
Shuichi : "I'm sorry if I'm wrong! It's just you seem to get kind of giddy when he does certain things, and you do seem a bit, hm. Clingy? But in a nice way-"

Y/N : "..."

Shuichi : "..."

Y/N : "So you just came here to call me out huh-"
Shuichi : "I was actually right??"
Y/N : "Yeah but like... he's been hanging out with Shinguuji and all that. So..."
Shuichi : "Huh? Ohhh, you're jealous?"
Y/N : "No, of course not! ... Well sorta- kinda?"

Shuichi chuckled a little bit.

Shuichi : "It's okay if you are, you clearly feel some sort of way towards Gokuhara. Like you said, he does seem a bit close to Shinguuji, but from how I've seen him talk about you with him... I think he sees you in a positive light as well-"

Y/N : "Gonta talks about me?"

Shuichi : "Huh? Yes, he talks about you guys' garden quite a lot. He's actually very excited about it...!"

Y/N : "Wow- Really?"

Shuichi : "Mhm, so I wouldn't worry about whether or not he likes you, he definitely does-"

Y/N : "Yeah I- Uh- I'm glad you came and told me that, I guess?? But I think I need to- Think about this y'know- (Dang it I said that twice-)" I said as I got off my bed, Shuichi also started picking himself off of the floor.

Shuichi : "O-oh yeah of course! I kinda just... Spilt all that into you in such a short time- Well, uhm... I guess see you later? If you feel more confident now, then... I believe in you!"

Shuichi said those words to me as he awkwardly shuffled outside. He's a nice guy, and sort of analytic too. Well, I guess that's expected of the Ultimate Detective. But, from what he told me about Gonta... I wonder if he really does see me in such a positive way? Whether or not it was actually true, it... It really comforted me. And I'm just going to hope with every bone in my body that I actually have a chance with this guy.

Sigh...

I totally have a crush on Gonta Gokuhara.

(Aight so someone tell me why it took so damn long to just write this and publish it 😶)
