"Who was on the phone?" Evelyn asks coming out of the washroom.

"Your brother. He was asking about your whereabouts." I reply handling the phone back to her.

"Oh shit. I forgot to tell him that I am not going to his penthouse. He told me earlier that he has something important to talk about." She lets out rubbing her forehead.

"We can have the sleepover another time if you want." I remark but she shakes her head.

"Nope, I am staying here for the weekend and that's final. If he needs to tell me something then we can talk over the phone." She replies with finality in her voice so I decide not to say anything.

"Okay, then you wait in the living room. I will go and make some snacks in the kitchen." I tell her but she holds my hand before I can leave.

"Aurora, I don't know what type of life you lived in the past but I am not going to let you live the same way. Both of us will go to the kitchen and make snacks. I am not a guest in your home, I am your friend so don't treat me like a guest." I am having second guess if this girl is really younger than me or not. Because she behaves way mature than a girl like her age. I smile at her while nodding my head in which she giggles before following me to the kitchen.

She asks me if I have ever had Grilled Cheese Crostini and replies that I have eaten it before but never make it by myself. So, she says that she is going to make delicious snacks for us. I am amazed to see how incredibly she cooks because I have never taken her as a cook. But it's also true that we barely know each other for six months and hardly spent time with each other.

We are now sitting in the living room while enjoying the snack. Suddenly the doorbell rings so I get up to see who it is as I am not expecting someone. Much to my surprise, I find a guilty-looking Jacob standing on my doorstep which makes me confused. But soon I realize the reason behind his guilt-stricken face when my eyes land on the fluffy creature beside him.

I crouch down in front of the adorable cat to pet its head earning a purr from its which makes me giggle. I pick it up in my arms before getting inside the apartment and ask Jacob to follow me.
