It's been already two days but Arthur hasn't woken up resulting Nicholas to assign more experienced doctors from Italy. The doctors have suggested that Arthur's eye sight need to be checked more perfectly because there is a chance that he can lose his eye sight which has left us in shock. On the other hand, Jacob has left the city saying that he has important practice for some upcoming match but I know he is lying. His actions are only proving my thoughts about his involvement with Arthur is getting stronger day by day. He can run away as much as he wants but in the end, he has to return here and then I will ask him to tell me everything.

Right now, I am on my way to the bakery along with Aiden as I don't want to leave him alone in the apartment. Mom and Dad has gone back to their place because both of them have their jobs to attend so I don't have any other options left.

I walk inside the bakery after Aiden who is holding Skittles' leash in his hands. I nod my head towards Parker and Claire in acknowledgement before making my way into my office. I put my purse on the couch and then open a water bottle because I am hella thirsty.

"Buddy, you can stay here and play with your toys or Skittles." I tell Aiden who nods his head absentmindedly.

I sigh looking at the poor kid as I can feel that he wants to know where his father is but like the good boy he is, he is restricting himself from doing that. I am planning to tell him about Arthur's condition because I don't think we're doing the right thing by hiding about the accident. But first, I need to talk to Nicholas about it.

I look at Aiden for one last time to see that he has pulled out a coloring book out of his backpack so I let him do his things while I make my way out of the office to talk to Parker and Claire. They have been looking after the bakery by themselves as I wasn't able to come here so now I need to help them out.

"How's Aiden's father?" Parker asks after I stand beside him.

"Not good but Nicholas has appointed top-class doctors for him. So, hopefully he will get better soon." I reply looking at the diary where we write about the orders.

"I am really feeling bad for the little boy. He was so joyful when he first came here with his father but today I can see in his eyes that he is very sad for some reason." Claire remarks making me nod my head in agreement.

"Okay, guys we can talk about this stuff later. Right now, we should concentrate on the pending orders which need to be delivered. Claire, you go and tend to the customers." I order before looking at Parker who starts making the Vanilla Caramel Pie for one of our oldest customers.

On the other hand, I start preparing for the fresh Croissants. I have learned that Aiden loves to eat them so why not make the child happy as well as my customers who are very eager to buy the croissants of my bakery.

After one hour, the croissants are done and the aroma that is coming from them are so amazing that I myself want to have one. But alas, I can't because I have to remember that I am the owner. So, I pick up two of the baked pastry and make my way inside the office where I have left Aiden.
