District 1 reapings

Amber Stone's P.O.V
It's the day of the reaping today. I'm really nervous because if I get picked then I could be up against 45 year olds. They shook things up a bit and since district 1,2 and 4 always volunteer they made it so those three districts can't volunteer.

When I get to the town square I check in then find my age group. After a few minutes Ruby Bell walks on stage " Welcome to the 150 hunger games. The 6th quarter quell" she says. "Now remember folks you may not volunteer this year and anyone 7 and up can participate.

"As usual ladies first." Bell walks over to the bowl of names. She pulls out one and walks back to the microphone. "Amber Stone" she calls. Wait that's me. I'm Amber Stone. I walk up to the stage with fear in my eyes. "Now for the boys. Kyle Lobe" she says. A man walks up the the stage from the 22 year old section. Gives me a reassuring smile and shakes my hand.

I get taken into a room in our justice building where my family comes to say goodbye. "Be strong" is all my mother says to me.

Kyle Lobe's P.O.V
I have to admit I am kind of excited to be participating in the games I thought I would never get another chance since I'm over normal age but now I do. I do feel bad for little 10 year old Amber, she is so young and doesn't deserve to be put in this situation at such a young age.

I don't get many visitors just a couple of friends and my sister, they are all excited to see me win the games.

After about 10 minuets of goodbyes it is time to load the train.

Hey guys, so this is my first fanfic book so it might not be the greatest. I will try to update as much as possible.

So I will be making the reaping chapters short because there is not much to write about. But later on in the story I will be making longer chapters.
