Act 1: """Real"'" combat

[18th February 2021]

I passed flight school, just as I promised to dad. now I'm assigned in Berkeley Air Force Base, what a great way to spend your teenage life heh. The bus pulled over in the bus stop for the airbase. The door opens and leader stands up facing the entire bus.

Lead: "Alright go go let's get moving"

Without a second to lose all got off from the bus, and we're immediately assigned to rooms. They gave us time to relax a little and take a shower.

After that I'm told to report to Hangar 6, which no other pilot is in. But when I arrived there...

"D-dad!?"

Dad: "Ah, you passed as promised. I knew I could count on you, Jasmine"

"So good to see you again dad"

Dad: "Uhm, also... Here's the plane I showed you 9 years ago"

"The EF 4000 right?"

Dad: "Precisely, and I wonder if you could fly it today"

"That would be awesome"

Dad: "Then what are you waiting for"

He throws the flight helmet at me and I catched it.

Dad: "Suit up"

[10 minutes time skip, already aboard the aircraft]

"EF 4000, callsign Pinkie, requesting takeoff procedure"

ATC: "Affirmative, Pinkie, standby. Taxi via G15 to A12, then head to runway 15L"

"Copy that tower"

I align with the runway after the taxiing, and I prepared myself. Deep breath...

"Requesting Takeoff clearance"

ATC: "You're cleared for takeoff, godspeed"

I pushed my throttle to 100% and lift off the ground in moments. Flying this plane is... Relaxing... Enjoyable... Soft... I really like this. But I'm here to test the capabilities of it and I shouldn't hold back while doing so.

"Ok, so.... Systems Check... "

10 minutes have passed and unknowingly my global location system is faulty, and I'm heading for another nation's airspace,

There's already an AWACS and a fighter flying for patrol. The callsigns are Dragon and Sapphire respectively.

AWACS Dragon: "Unknown contact detected, bearing 35° to the north-northeast side of Ceres Minor Strait"

Sapphire: "Affirmative, checking the area"

Dragon: "Signal Contact started weakening, possibility of equipment inactivation"

Sapphire: "affirm, keep updating me based on what you get, I'm about 5 minutes away from the strait"

Dragon: "understood, target is circling an area around the strait"

Sapphire: "ok, I'm gonna try to see if i can detect it or not"

Sapphire turning on his radar and actively searching the area

Sapphire: "Contact found but quite weak, possibly a stealth, target didn't seem to notice, at least yet"

"Radar warning... "
"This area should've been empty... "

Sapphire: "Target seems to notice my presence, preparing to engage if aggressive behaviour is seen"

I've been seen, and it looks like they're not too happy about it.
