6 months later..

I swear after you have a baby, time moves so fast! I cannot believe my son is 8 months old now and just starting to walk. Becoming a mom has been one of the best things that's happened to me. As much as I doubted having this baby, I'm so blessed and grateful that I have him now and I wouldn't trade this for the world.

It was Saturday and I was in the kitchen making breakfast while Cj was in his walker watching Sesame Street when my phone started ringing. I picked it up and smiled when I saw the caller I. D.

"Hey handsome," I said softly.

"Wassup beautiful! I was thinking about you. You wanna be ready by 5pm? We going to this paint and sip then eat at your favorite place."

"Oooh yes! I'm dying for some seafood! I'll be ready, I just gotta call my mom and let her know I'm bringing lil man early."

"Cool lil mama, you need me to drop y'all at her place?"

"No thank you babe! I gotta run some quick errands anyway while it's still early. I'll let you know when I get back."

"Aight beautiful, I'll see you later Ms. Robyn."

"See you later Mr. Michaels."

I couldn't stop smiling as me and Jahir got off the phone.

Yes... I was dating that guy I met at the club. After everything I'm surprised I even gave him a chance but things have been so good and refreshing with Jahir. I'm just gonna go with the flow.

Now I know a couple months back, me and Chris messed around and said we would work on our relationship and start over but things did not go as planned....

About 4 months ago, me and Chris were sorta on the right path. We decided to still live separately but for the most part, me and CJ were always at Chris' house. He still was walking with a cane due to a slight limp he still had but doctors said within the year it should improve. He would constantly be in his home gym with his personal trainer working out to get his strength back.

As soon as he got back on his feet, he went back to doing what he does best. I didn't bring up me wanting him to stop his drug operation completely due to not wanting to hear his excuses but eventually, he would need to make a decision. Now that we officially have a family, I didn't want him in that life anymore. I needed him to go legit.

After we got back together, he seemed alright for the most part, but I began to notice certain changes with him. For one, he started having trouble sleeping at night, would always toss and turn, even talk in his sleep which I've never heard him do. He sometimes would go missing for a short period of time whenever I was at the house.Then, once certain shit started happening with his business like money coming up short, rivals tryna' takeover and then his mentor Big Dog got shot and was in a coma, things started really going downhill.

He became more irritable with me, sometimes bark on me for no reason and then not even realize what he did. Whenever we had sex, it was always just rough fucking. It was never passionate like it used to be but I figured maybe certain things like that change in the relationship once you have a child. He was still very attentive and attached to CJ which I definitely appreciated but one day, everything changed.

"Hey babe! What you want me to make for dinner?" I yelled to him from the bathroom as got dressed after my shower.

"Uhh, I'm not really sure. Whatever you want baby," he said as he walked in.
