Robyn
"That was some crazy ass shit!," Sage yelled from the backseat of Chris's car as we sped down the freeway.
I think we all weren't expecting for shit to go down the way it did and by the look on Chris's face, I could tell it was bothering him.
"Was it?! I don't know what Stephanie thought she was doing stepping up to me like that but it's okay cus' she got another thing coming."
"You got that right! Look Robyn, I apologize for reacting the way I did. It's just finally getting the chance to see this bitch face to face got me heated. Then as soon as that tall hoe said what she said it was over. She wasn't gonna talk to me like that and get away with it."
"It's fine girl, no need to apologize. She started it so you finished it. But who knew they were gonna start fighting and shooting in there! That was crazy."
"Sho' was girl. I wasn't even paying anybody no mind til' you snatched me up off her. Shit I wonder if the bitch is still there."
"I don't care where she's at, just as long as she doesn't come around me or ya'll I'm good."
I wanted to speak to Chris about what Stephanie had said to me before the madness but decided to wait until we were alone and settled to discuss it. I know I shouldn't let what she said bother me but it was.
After dropping Sage off, we rode in silence back to our house. I watched him as he drove, his hand tightly gripping the wheel and I could see the outline of his jaw popping out. I placed my hand on his leg and gently squeezed it. He turned his head to look at me and slightly smiled. I smiled back, "You okay babe?"
He sighed, "Yeah baby, just still in a little shock after what went down that's all."
"You wanna talk about it?," I know seeing her might've brought up some emotions so I wanted to make sure he was okay.
"Nah not right now babe. I just wanna chill and be laid up with you. I coulda lost you tonight and I wanna cherish every moment with you. I apologize if I've been acting weird and distant with you because no matter how I'm feeling you did not deserve the shitty end of the stick. Please forgive me babe," he grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it, glancing once more at me before putting his eyes back on the road.
I leaned over to kiss his cheek, "Don't worry about it baby, I forgive you. Just don't shut me out again okay?"
"You got it baby," he pecked my lips a couple of times before smiling at me then continued to drive us home.
As soon as I walked through the door, I immediately took off my heels. I was so drained and after what happened tonight, I could not wait to rest. As I walked towards the bedroom, I spotted Chris run into the bathroom from the corner of my eye. Not thinking anything of it, I got undressed and threw on one of Chris's T-shirts before going to the kitchen to get something to drink. When I walked pass the bathroom, I could hear sniffling from the other side.
"Chris?," I lightly knocked on the door.
When I didn't get an answer, I slowly turned the knob then gently pushed it open. Seeing Chris sitting on the floor with his red and teary eyes and the look of devastation on his face broke my heart into pieces. With tears now running down my own face, I rushed to be by his side.
"Baby," I said breathlessly. I put my arms around him and held him tight, placing his head on my chest. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled himself closer to me.
