Robyn

2 days later..

Chris put me to work immediately and I must say this job wasn't that bad. The place must be really well-known since a lot of people come in all the time so I definitely had to work at a fast pace. The others workers there are really nice and down to earth. Carter, who I had met when Chris took me here, was really cool and I could see us becoming friends in the future. I hadn't exactly met his mom yet since every time we tried to have a conversation, someone or something interrupted and we couldn't talk after since she left earlier than everybody. Since I didn't have to work tomorrow, I was gonna take that opportunity to come back and see her. Hopefully, she won't be busy.

I haven't seen Chris since yesterday when he picked me up after work to take me home. Since it was my lunch break, he would usually call or text at this time but I haven't gotten anything from him since this morning. I was starting to get worried but knowing Chris, he was probably just busy at the moment.

The day flew by and I still hadn't heard from him yet. I was getting off of work and he would be outside in the car waiting for me but he was nowhere to be found. I tried calling his phone but it just continuously rang. I didn't know any other way to get home since he would drive me and now was not the time to be trying to figure it out so I called Sage and asked if she could pick me up. She came in about 10 minutes and as soon as I opened the door, Chris's car pulls up behind hers.

"Robyn!," he called my name, getting out but I ignored him and got in Sage's car.

He came to my side and started knocking on the window and calling my name again while asking if we could talk.

"Aye stop knocking on my shit nigga!," Sage yelled at him.

Just so he would stop, I pulled the window down slightly and told him to speak.

"Look Robs, I'm sorry I ain't get back to you I just been real busy today ma."

"That's nice Chris but uh, you don't have to worry about me anymore, I'll be fine."

"Please don't do that Robyn. I'm really, really sorry just come out and give me a chance to explain-"

"Nah I'm good. Go ahead girl," I told Sage and she quickly drove off, leaving Chris standing there like the dumbass he is.

Next thing I know, I can see Chris's car in the rearview mirror, following us.

"Damn this nigga is crazy," Sage said.

"Tell me about it."

"A man that's willing to chase after you, literally? Man it don't get no better than that. Currently tryna get like you."

We both started laughing, "Oh girl please stop. You know Omari would do the exact same thing to you. That man love you more Barack love Michelle so don't even try it."

"I know I know. But for some reason, I'm not sure if I'm feeling the same way anymore. I mean, he be out here taking care of his business and I be out taking care of mine so it's like now, we rarely have time for each other anymore. When we do see each other, all we do is have sex and then by the morning he's gone. He'll leave me some money and what not but that's nothing. Sex is great and all but that shit don't mean nothing. Yeah, if he had to he would chase after me but I'm not sure if I would do the same with him," she confessed to me.

This was kinda a surprise to me. They had been together about 4 years and from what I heard, he was a really amazing guy and they had been through a lot together. I know she told me about the little problems they had but I never thought that she would be feeling this way.
