It's been a couple more days after that day, and nothings really changed between Michael and I. After I said that, we talked for almost 45 minutes. I actually didn't know, but it just made sense at the time. I still don't know why I said it. After, he explained how nervous he was and how weird it was because I started by teaching him about minorities. We laughed about the entire situation, but I'm honestly not sure what it means. We're just two people in love hehehe.

We leave for Croatia tomorrow. I've honestly been having so much fun that I forgot that finals start next week. It seems like we've bonded so much over the semester and especially these last few days. I have to admit, Lori did a great job planning because our activities are actually lots of fun. We've been parasailing, sight seeing , snorkeling, and so much more.

Pac's still been acting weird, and I think Michael knows why because they both have their moments. However, it seems like they're both trying to cover it up. I caught them a couple of times talking late night with Michael assuring Pac and vice versa. I am feeling kind of apprehensive, but I trust that it'll all be fine. It's been the complete opposite between Michael and I. We've been all giddy and lighthearted around each other, and the weird tension left between us. I guess that was it.

Today, we're going to the top of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in Dubai. Even though we made reservations, the line is so long, and there are so many people here. It seems like the busiest part of Dubai because there are so many people around here on the busy street.

Pac looks a bit more nervous with the amount of people, but he's still calm. Meanwhile, Lori and Michael are trying to talk to the workers to get us ahead in line.

"Hey, Pac, you sure you good?" I question as he looks around.

"Yea, I'm straight. Why did you ask?" He tries to remain calm in front of me.

"Oh it's just that—" I was cut off by being pushed down to the ground.

Then it happens.

One

Two

Three

Four

Five shots.

Im shaking, but I stay down. By this point, everything seems to have turned upside down. I sit in silence and darkness for seemingly 10 minutes until I slowly open my eyes and lift my head. I lift my head and see everyone else on the ground, some of them screaming. Then I see him.

Right in front of me lays Pac, with five shots to his torso.

Tears stream down my brown orbs as I begin screaming, begging for help. I check for a pulse. Thankfully, it's still there. He's barely breathing, but he's managing to stay alive.

I scream at the sight and beg him not to die.

From the corner of my eye, I see the black car speeding away and a familiar face in the seat.

After only a few minutes, help finally comes and just before Pac is lifted on a gurney, he confirms exactly what I was thinking in a low whisper.

"Suge."
