It was finally the weekend. Scarlett woke up around noon, sleepy and barely functioning due to how late she'd stood up last night. She sat up in her bed, not knowing what to do, she simply looked at the ceiling and stared. Today is the day I go to my first party. Ivan Zhakarov's party. Ivan's party! Out of everyone in my school, I was invited by him. She was honestly proud of herself. It was a small social win for her, but it meant a lot. Especially for someone so introverted as her. She still couldn't believe it either. But she had to, otherwise she'd be missing out if it wasn't a dream.
Scarlett eventually reached for her phone and checked her notifications. One! She had actually got one. She quickly opened instagram and was rather surprised at what she had received.

She quickly looked through his profile which was a simple selfie with him and his friends. She wondered why he had followed her, especially after only one day of knowing each other. And they still barely knew each other.
She put her phone down and went to go make herself some food. She did an admirable job, and after, decided to take a nap so she would be prepared for whatever would be required of her at the party.
She woke up maybe an hour later, once again checking her phone to see an Instagram notification.
Ivan requested to message you-
Ivan
You coming tonight?
Scarlett
Yeah, I am. Why?
Ivan
Just wanted to know.
Scarlett
Yeah I'll be there for sure.
Ivan
Okay well
Gtg
Why did he message me out of all people? Me? What did I do? Does he like me? Is he playing me? Is he joking? Does he actually care? She wondered, once again beginning to over think.
