Lauren's POV

I can't believe it! My uncle gave me his camp for the whole summer! Ahh! I, Lauren Carter, have the best uncle in the whole world. Anyone could argue but I know only my uncle would give his campground over to his 17 year old niece and her friends for the whole summer. Being the awesome uncle that he is, he even hired employees to run everything at the camp for us. How lucky am I!

See, my uncle owns a campground that is home to many camp activities during the summer. Usually, he has many kids there but no one signed up this summer.

Anyway, that brings us to right now. Me, in my bedroom, packing for the whole summer! I have 2 more hours until my best friends, Cameron, Bryce, Hope, and Emily come to pick me up. We're going to party the whole summer together! I am so excited. It will be us 5 and our friends, Luke, Paige, Seth, Nathan, Aimee, plus their friend Shelby.

Shelby is not one of my favorite people in the world but I agreed to her coming. Sometimes being a nice person is a terrible thing. Now was one of those times. I have never disliked someone as much as I disliked her. She just thought that she was God's gift to the world. That she was that great and perfect and awesome and that everyone should just be in love with her. She was one of the most fake people I knew, yet everyone fell for her little game and thought she was a great person. There were just a select few of us who knew otherwise.

But even though she is there, it will be a blast!

Buzz...Buzz...Buzz...

I heard my phone vibrating on my night stand and flopped onto my bed landing roughly on my stomach to grab it. My caller ID flashed a picture of me and Cameron from opening night of Seussical. Aww memories.

"Ello kind sir!" I answered in my best British accent rolling onto my back.

"Oh no!" He sighed into the phone, "I don't think I will be able to take a whole summer of that accent! You remember what happened on the 4th of July last year..."

"I promise it won't be as bad as that! We couldn't stop our accents. I grew annoyed by my own voice." I laughed thinking back on the memory. "But anyway what did you call about? Are you as excited as I am?" I squealed into the phone. I got up to finish my packing so I would be ready. I did my usual walk through my room and through the cupboards in the bathroom.

"Of course I'm excited! I get to spend an entire summer with my best friends. It doesn't get any better than that. I didn't get any sleep last night because I was so excited!"

I laughed but honestly I was the same. "I didn't sleep either. I just lay in bed thinking about all the great things we will do this summer!" We both laughed at how goofy we were but then Cameron's laughter slowly died down and he sighed.

"Cameron?" I asked.

"Umm I need to ask you something. You won't be happy."

Oh dear. That is never a great thing to hear. My mind went into overdrive trying to think of what he could ask that would make me unhappy. I couldn't think of anything so I just told him to go on.

"Well I need to ask if you could actually drive us. I kinda got my license taken away..." Cameron's voice started getting quieter and I had a hard time hearing the last part he said. But luckily I caught it.

"Cameron! You know I hate to drive on long trips! What did you do to get your license taken away?" I had stopped in the middle of the hallway to yell into my phone, earning weird looks from my older brother who appeared from his room.

"I didn't take my dog out to umm do his business...and he had a little accident..." Cameron's voice got quieter until it was barely even a whisper.

"Where was his accident, Cameron?"

"My parents pillows..."

I dropped the phone laughing.. I couldn't breathe! Cameron had begged his parents to buy him a dog for years. They finally agreed 3 months ago but had to promise to take care of its every need no matter what. Obviously, he was slacking in his duties. No wonder he got his license taken away.

"Lauren! This is not funny! Pick me up off the ground now!" Cameron yelled through the phone. I sat up on the ground and picked up my cell.

"I'm sorry Cam, but that was hilarious! I'm surprised they didn't keep you from going to the camp."

"They will if I don't find someone else to drive us." Uh oh.

"Well, I guess I could drive. But only if we can still take your party van." Our best moments always took place in that van. It was our special car.

I heard him laugh on the other end of the phone and I knew he was remembering our past events n the party van. "Of course we're still taking the party van! The party van is like our own Mystery Machine. And we are the group from Scooby Doo. Ruh ro!"

"Okay down Scooby! You pinky promise I can drive it?" I asked him. Pinky promises were a big part of our friendship. They always had been, we take them very seriously.

"Pinky promise."

"Stick out your pinky, loop the end and shake." I told him with a giggle. Even though we couldn't physically pinky promise, we could pretend. "On the count of three. 1...2...3!"

"And done!" He said. I could tell he was smiling into the phone at just how strange we were. "Just please don't get us into an accident!" He half yelled half laughed into the phone.

"Alright, we won't have any accidents...unlike your dog." Hehehe I smirked at the phone and heard him sigh. We both knew this was only the beginning of my teasing.

"Just be here in time to drive around and pick up the rest of the gang before we head to the camp." I could tell he was trying to hold back his laughter. No matter what the situation was, any snide remark I made could get him to laugh. It was one of my many talents.

"Alright." I laughed. "I'll just finish my packing and head over in a few minutes. See ya Cam!"

With that, I hung up and pushed my phone into my back pocket. I still had two stacks of my things to pack. It was crunch time! I had to get everything ready for the best summer of my life!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So here is the beginning...I started with a middle section of the story to give you an idea of what the sorry will be like and what it's about so here is how it starts. But I deleted that now that I've started from the beginning. I edited this majorly just recently so it's much better than the first draft.

Stay with me. The story starts to take off around chapters 3 and 4. I have big things in store for the rest of this story.
