I expected him to say something but instead, he smirked and enjoyed my misery.

"Ummm....work stuff?". She cocked an eyebrow, " ya work stuff".

Still not convinced. I straightened up and came up with an irrefutable excuse.

" His super suit is being upgraded and I am in charge of it."

" You can do that after you recover", she scolded.

" I am just noting down what he needs, that's all", I tried convincing her.

"Fine and Julian don't disturb her too much"

" Trust me, I am not here willing", he replied.

Debbie was puzzled but thankfully, didn't ask any questions.

"You done?", I snarled.

"Had to try". He shrugged and went off.

I went down and got the next dose of RTH3.

"Drink up, It's not bitter," I think.

"Just when I thought you may not be that bad-"

"Obviously you thought wrong". Now that the reaction has started, leaving in between may have adverse effects.

"I am not drinking either way". "Don't forget-".

"The bulky anklet. You said it will kill me in minutes. Then where is the controller show me". I won't fall for his tricks this time.

"So that you can steal and destroy it? No, thank you"

After a staring contest, he finally gave in. He gulped down the whole thing at once.

"You said it's not bitter", He said, trying not to throw up.

I shrugged and sat down on the sofa. That was a long day, phew. Oh wait, it's still evening. Already had enough drama for the day.

"You are so dense", Julian stated.

"Why?". I may not be the brightest but I am definitely not dense.

" Clayton likes you", he said leaning in to check out my reaction.

" No, he doesn't." " That's why I said you are dense", he laughed.

"He becomes a lovesick puppy in front of you. Need I explain more?" He relaxed on the couch enjoying my predicament.

"That's just how he is.", We are childhood friends there is no way I would have missed any hints.

" A guy who never bats an eye in front of the hottest chick is like that?"

"He has been the same since the starting"

" That just means he liked you from the start"

Is that possible? No, he is just getting into my head. Clayton is too good for me. I am a villain after all. Friendship is the only thing I can give. I don't even know what I am doing with my life, dragging him into my mess is not what I want. Looks like, I care about him more than I thought. However, affection from someone like me will never end well.

I logged off into my thoughts for far too long. Julian noticed this and asked.

"Why aren't you dating him?"

"Because I'd destroy him."

"He'd be into that."

" What?" I was bamboozled.

" He -". " No, stop. I don't want to listen anymore. If you feel hungry order", I said changing the topic. I tossed him a phone with food panda being the only app he can access." Then go sleep downstairs where you initially were. I will be in my room."
