It didn't take long for Marinette to notice her craftmanship had failed her, and her mask was definitely broken. As she noticed that, she quickly put her own hands over her eyes though before that she had locked eyes with the one person she hadn't been able to get out of her head since the time he handed her an umbrella.

No. No this couldn't be true. This was too good to be true, but that also ment... no. No she had just seen it wrong this couldn't be it.

'You own me some nice cookies, Plagg,' she heard her kwami say.

'Ahw sugarcube, can't we just forget that?' Plagg answered

'Tikki! Tikki come here and explain what is happening while you also just transform me again,' Marinette hissed, slightly peeking through her fingers so she could see a red and black blob not too far away.

'It is too dangerous to transform again now, as I haven't eaten yet. Maybe you should just take a look,' her kwami answered.

'Yes, *blob*, I want to see your expressions properly,' Plagg snickered.

'Are... are you okay with that?' her partner asked.

Was she? If he also had seen a bit of her looking wasn't going to change anything, right? 'Sure, sure just... why not,' she answered

Marinette slowly removed her hands from her eyes, now standing in front of the boy she indeed thought it was, as he did the same.

His eyes were wide open, just like hers as she pressed herself against the wall. She wasn't able to take her eyes of the boy who turned out to be the very much real Adrien Agreste. No. no this was... too good to be true? Terrible? Maybe a bit of both?

'Do I... disappoint you?' Adrien asked, as she wasn't able to form a full sentence. Not that it was something new, but still.

'No! No of course not!' Marinette exclaimed, finally having found her speech back. 'It's just that... oh my god this really is embarrassing.'

Adrien gave her a confused look. 'Why would it be embarrassing?' he asked.

'Well to begin with this means I have been fighting with you all this time. Not to begin over the fact that the Adrien Agreste called me his lady and has been flirting with me. Oh no. Oh no, no, no. This means... oh yes this does mean that,' Marinette said, rambling on.

'This means what?' Adrien asked, sounding rather curious.

'This means... that I... that I literally have been rejecting you... for... you.' She wasn't even fully aware of what she had just said, as she was still way too focused on the fact this was all actually happening right now. 'I mean technically also not, but then again I did and just-'

'Wait. You mean you've rejected me for me. Does that mean?' His eyes stood big, while Marinette finally realised what she had just said.

'What? Me? Liking you? Haha, ha, ha.' Good job Marinette, you just said everything you've been trying to build up the courage for four years now for in a matter of seconds without even thinking.

'Oh...' Adrien answered.

'Well I mean unless you sort of agree but otherwise we'll just forget this all happened.'

'Maybe I don't want to forget this happened, as this is might actually be positively pawsome.' He had a stupid grin on his face with that.

He might now not be hidden behind his mask, but Marinette still gave him an annoyed look. Maybe with a slight grin on her face too. But, he didn't want to forget. This was probably the most confusing, best, amazing, ridiculous evening of her life.

She would let it slide for now tho, as she had to let it sink all in first.

'There only is one thing now,' Marinette said.

'Alya and Nino,' Adrien directly said as if he could read her mind. Maybe the Ladybug and Cat Noir in them.

'Alya will directly notice. I don't know how she does it but it is creepy you know. So we can't give anything away otherwise she will know who protect the Parisians in no time. I guess I also can't be acting too confident around you...'

'Why is that?'

'Have you even been paying attention the last few years? I literally haven't been able to form a proper sentence around you. This also means no cat jokes.'

'Ahw, not even when we're alone?' Adrien asked with puppy eyes, or well more big kitten eyes of course.

'If we'll ever be alone, you might crack one, but only one understood?'

'Fully understood, Bugaboo.'

'Good. Now the only problem is that we don't have masks you know. We can't really walk out like nothing happened and risk Alya and Nino seeing us, as I might have told Alya I had to help in the bakery and had a lot of homework to catch up on. Which is half true.'

'Can't we like, go through a back door or something? I'm sure no one is focusing on that now.'

'Amazing idea, Chatton.'

Adrien took her hand and lead her to the first staff door he could find. As he was unlocked it, Marinette made sure no one would see them. Just when someone was about to walk out of the kitchen, the staff door opened and they had do make sure they wouldn't tumble to the ground.

Marinette took of her heels as they made their way to a small park, where she and Adrien sat down on a bench. They really had a lot to catch up on, so that's what they did. They spoke about life, Marinette's fashion line she was trying to design, Adrien offering to model for it if she needed any help, the difficulties in life while having a secret superhero identity and everything that had to do with that.

As it really was starting to become late, they got up again. Hand in hand they made their way to Marinette's home.

Adrien took her hand and while he made a typical Cat Noir bow kissed her hand.

'Good night and sweet dreams, princess,' he said, looking up at her.

Marinette was unable to hide the slight blush that she felt on her cheeks.

'Good night to you too, Kitty,' she said, giving him a kiss on his cheek in return.

She opened the bakery door, waving Adrien one last goodbye before she made her way upstairs. After having told her parents she was back home again she went to her room, got into her pajama's and let herself fall on her bed.

Adrien was in love with her. Or well in love with Ladybug, but he hadn't denied the fact he didn't like her, so maybe that meant he maybe actually also did like the real Marinette?

She let out a sight. She would have tomorrow to come up with a plan to how to do it at school now she knew Adrien was her partner in crime. At least they would be able to use each other as an alibi.

Oh... Adrien as her alibi.
