A few moments after I get off the bike a somewhat smaller wolf comes up to greet me. "Hello Seth," I said, petting his head. Jacob shifted a few feet away, that was the actual first time I had seen him shift. Jacob knelt and had me climb on his back. When we finally got there some of the Cullens were sparring. I slid down Jacob's side and went and stood by Bella while Jasper had his spiel.

"Hey y/n," she said when I walked over.

"Hey, Bella." I leaned up against a tree and watched the vampires demonstrate techniques to the werewolves.

"So, when did you and Jake become a thing?"

"We arent a thing yet, I'm making sure my point doesn't have to be proven."

"Oh okay that's neat," she looked uncomfortable. Maybe she sensed my statement was about her. A few minutes later Bella stood up and walked over to talk to Jasper. Edward had been staring at me funny since I got here, it was starting to piss me off. After Edward and Emmett stopped sparring Edward walked up to me.

"Why do you hate her so much," he asked me.

"What," I looked at him, extremely confused.

"Why do you hate Bella so much?"

"Well," I started. "What do you mean I don't hate Bella." That wasn't entirely accurate though I did have a strong dislike for Bella. I didn't hate her.

"Oh, I get it. Jacob hasn't told you I can read minds." The staring started to make a lot more sense.

"Oh," I paused, unsure of how to continue this conversation. "Well I don't hate Bella, I don't exactly like her though. It's just since Bella has been here Jacob has followed her like a puppy and now with the whole imprinting thing I'm just not sure if he feels as strongly for me as he does for her." I could feel tears welling up in my eyes, "I know you and Bella are together, it just feels like she enjoys the way he chases after her."

Edward leaned up against the tree next to me, "I'm sure that's hard, but I assure you the feelings Jake feelings are real even if his actions don't show it."

"Thank you, Edward," I said before Jacob walked back over to me and sent Edward in a different direction. He nudged up against me and knelt as he had done earlier. I climbed back onto him and he took us back to the bike. He shifted back and got dressed.

"What did the bloodsucker want?"

"He asked why I hate Bella."

"You hate Bella?"

"No Jacob. That's why we were having the conversation." It was a quick ride home. When we walked inside we were greeted by Charlie and Billy sitting in the kitchen.

"Hey kids," Billy said.
"Hey, dad. Hey Charlie," Jacob said before grabbing my hand and dragging me back to his bedroom.

"Hey guys," I said as I was being dragged away. He shut the door behind us,  "What are you doing Jacob?"

"I want to hold you and take a nap," he said, holding his arms out.

I walked into his arms, "You know I have to work tonight, right?" He was very disappointed to hear that. This time he didn't throw one of his usual tantrums; he was too tired for that. I kissed his forehead, "Get some sleep, my love. I'll be back before you know it."  When I finally convinced him to let go of me I took a quick shower and got dressed. Jacob was dead asleep but I kissed his forehead and whispered in his ear, "I love you." I waved goodbye to Billy and Charlie and I was off to work.

My night was pretty slow, not many people needed sports equipment between the hours of four and ten pm. Mike worked tonight too, he was okay to work with but before he was crushing on Bella he was crushing on me. He seemed to only ever want to talk about her, and after both Jacob and Mike only talking about Bella for about a year you're bound to be sick of hearing about it.

So normally when Mike and I both worked I generally tried to avoid him. Tonight we were both stocking the shelves so it wasn't easy to avoid him. While we stocked the shelves he non-stop talked about Bella and Jessica.

Jessica can be a hard person to like. As much as I tried to be friends with her, she couldn't say anything without being backhanded for more than five minutes.

When my shift was finally over I was exhausted. I drove home in silence. I wasn't angry, just a little drained by the past week. When I got home no one was there.

"Just great," I said to myself, walking into Jacob's bedroom. I changed into a pair of pajamas, laid in Jacob's bed, and cried. I just let all of my emotions out, I just wanted to feel better, and to do that I needed to try to grieve over all the problems in my life. When I had finished crying I got up and got a snack. I wanted to stay up and wait for Jake. It was about midnight before Jacob came home. Sam, Seth, and he were on watch for most of the night.
"Hey princess," he said as he walked into the room. He came over to me and kissed me all over my face.

"Hello, my love," I whispered half asleep. He laid next to me and held me close. We talked about our nights while he played with my hair.

"Jake," I said.

"Yes baby," he said softly.

"I'm worried about the fight. I don't want you to go."

"Edward and Seth will be there."

"I know but if we are in danger Edward would protect Bella before me, and I love Seth but it would be different to have you there."

"Sam has given orders y/n. Alpha's orders get obeyed whether we want them to or not. Plus Seth is strong and knows nothing can happen to you."

"Okay," at that point I didn't know what to say. I was terrified of what would happen on that day. I didn't want my mother to target him. We went to sleep after that conversation.

When we woke up the next morning we packed a couple of bags of warm clothes, blankets, food, and water. Today was the day we were hiking up the mountain.
