The cold winter hit your face as you ran, heels lightly clacking against the pavement.
Police sirens in the distance, you snickered at how successful your robbery was this time.
You worked in a group, about 9 of you - ever since you were kids, to survive. Your group had become a tight knit family over the years, and although you had stopped committing petty crimes on a constant basis, you did occasionally join them - but you mainly took care of the pizza shop they used as a disguise.
Before you could turn the corner, a figure had made you stop. A familiar, disappointed look was on their face, as your mischievous grin was wiped off.
"(Y/N)?" "Renjun..." You hadn't realised your husband, the love of your life, was a police officer - that is, until now.
Your jobs never came up in conversation, and while you did want to know his, you weren't willing to lie to him about yours, knowing the last time you did, you were kicked out of your ex girlfriend's house and left for dead. So you opted to not say a word, even during your marriage.
"Why are you doing this?" Looking down, you didn't see the expression on his face - you didn't even want to.
What made the two of you look in the same direction, however, was the police cars nearing - the sound made it clear, but they were still out of sight.
"I still love you, but I have to take care of my other family, too. Old habits die hard." Renjun loved how you still had a strong sense of loyalty, and so he nodded,
"Then go." "What?" "I'll take care of this, and meet you at home." Renjun grinned, placing a kiss on your forehead before creating a small cut on his hand.
A concerned and hesitant look on your face made your husband laugh at how adorable he thought it was, "Hurry, or else I'll have to put you in cuffs. And not the way either of us lik-"
"Oh shut up," You rolled your eyes, before giving him a peck on the lips, "I'll bring some pizza from the shop home!"
Renjun watched you hop into your car, with a surprised looking Taeil peeping out the window.
Your lover kneeled down, hissing as his workers worriedly dashed over to him, "They got away." Avoiding eye contact for too long, he tried not to smile at the surprising events that had occurred.
He couldn't wait to see you at home later tonight, excited for the conversation awaiting him. And the same went for you, a big grin on your face as you pulled up in front of your family's pizza shop.
