After taking Gunsmith to the police station, the mercenary was locked in a cell. It wasn't long until Recovery Girl showed up. She began using her Heal Quirk to heal the officers wounded during the attack. When she got to Aizawa, she healed his gunshot wound.
Recovery Girl: You have made quite a mess of yourself, young man.
Aizawa: I'll keep that in mind. Thank you.
Recovery Girl: I'll be off then. You boys take care of yourselves.
Present Mic: Loud and clear! We owe you one!
As Recovery Girl left the police station, Aizawa and Present Mic met up with Kenji Tsuragamae who was speaking to his men. When Aizawa entered the room, Tsuragamae approached Aizawa and shook his hand.
Kenji: There's a lot of good men and women here who want to thank you.
Aizawa: Don't mention it. I'm just doing my job. Where's Gunsmith?
Kenji: Locked in a cell. We've been monitoring him since he woke up. I personally saw to it that any firearms he had were taken and put in evidence.
Aizawa: I need to have a talk with him.
Upon hearing this, Present Mic and Kenji were caught off guard.
Present Mic: Are you sure that's a good idea, Eraser? The guy just tried to kill you!
Aizawa: I'm well aware of that. There's still three assassins after me. I need to find out who sent those assassins after me.
Kenji: This isn't exactly protocol, but I can give you some time with Gunsmith.
With that, Aizawa had been granted permission to interrogate Gunsmith. In his cell, Gunsmith sat quietly as the guards kept a close eye on him. Gunsmith looked on the two guards guarding him. He could tell that the two were nervous.
Gunsmith: Nervous? You should be.
As Gunsmith said that, Aizawa entered the room. The guards opened Gunsmith's cell, allowing Aizawa in. As Aizawa entered his cell, Gunsmith chuckled.
Gunsmith: Well ain't this something? Did the mutt send you?
Aizawa: I'm going to ask you a few questions. If you had any sense, you'll answer them.
Gunsmith: Very funny, Eraser. You think this is the first time I've been questioned by a Pro Hero before?
Aizawa: Who hired you to kill me?
As Aizawa questioned Gunsmith, he laughs.
Gunsmith: As a professional, you know I'm can't reveal that information. My word is my bond. Though I must say, I'm impressed. Taking down Taurus isn't all that impressive, but taking down the Twin Suns? Now that's impressive.
Aizawa: I'm not here to impress you. I'm here for answers!
Gunsmith: Well you're out of luck, Pro Hero. All you need to know is that someone really wants you dead. For a Pro Hero who's just hitting the scene, you've made quite the name for yourself. As a professional, I can't help but respect that.
At this point, Aizawa continues his interrogation of Gunsmith, but the mercenary provides no answers. As the interrogation goes nowhere, Aizawa changes tactics.
Aizawa: You've failed in your assignment, Gunsmith. Your client won't be too happy about that.
Gunsmith: I'll admit that my current circumstances are far from ideal, but the bounty's open until it's claimed. So as far as I'm concerned, I'm still on the clock.
Aizawa: I know about your Quirk. It allows you to master any firearm that you get your hands on.
Gunsmith: That's right. Though you proved yourself a tricky target. I usually don't miss.
Aizawa: Imagine if word got out that you missed a target. That wouldn't look good on your reputation.
Gunsmith: I see what you're trying to do. It won't work. I'm a professional. I'm obligated to see the job through until it's completed or something happens to the client. Now you've got bigger things to deal with. If my math's correct, you still got Araña, Handtaker and Onibaba gunning for you. And the night's still young. I'll be out real soon, Eraser. And the next time I see you.....bang!
Gunsmith then gestures his hand like a gun and moves it as if he took a shot. He then blows imaginary smoke with a chuckle. At this point, Aizawa grabs Gunsmith by the shirt and begins to get aggressive.
Aizawa: I don't have time for games! Tell me who hired you?!
Gunsmith: You really want answers, Eraser? Why don't you as Araña, Handtaker or Onibaba that when they find you? I'm sure at least one of them is not bound by the same code as I am.
Aizawa: I'll do just that.
Aizawa then drops Gunsmith and leaves his cell. Before he left the room, Gunsmith whistled at Aizawa.
Gunsmith: Be seeing you real soon, Eraser! When I do....bang!
When Aizawa leaves the room, he meets up with Present Mic and Kenji.
Kenji: Did you find anything?
Aizawa: No. He wouldn't talk. Keep him under heavy guard.
Kenji: Understood.
Present Mic: Well what now, Eraser?
As Present Mic asked that question, Aizawa found himself in a difficult position. Despite capturing four out of the seven assassins, Aizawa was no step closer in finding out who hired them and who put the bounty on his head. With the rest of the assassins closing in on him, Aizawa knew that the only way to find out who hired the assassins was to draw the remaining assassins out, knowing full well that they were after him. Left with no other choice, the best thing Aizawa could do was put himself in the sights of the assassins and use himself as bait to lure the assassins in the open.
