I woke up feeling lost and lonely

Like no one was there to hold me

Feeling worthless, scared, and spent

Believing my life wasn't worth a cent

I wrote my notes and said my goodbyes

As the tears began to fill my eyes

I walked down the stairs

Filled with despair

Grabbed a knife

And tried to take my life

The pain brought me back

I realized I wasn't alone

And my mom was right there to hold me
