The dungeon

It was cold, damp and murky underground.  Biastos was tied to the wall, a gag in his mouth preventing him from breathing fire.  His sweat ran down his body as he was deprived of his shirt. It felt like slime over his skin, as if worms wear crawling along his torso trying to dive inside his body to live.

The hair on the back of his head was wet, clinging to his neck. And the hair on the front was shaggy, blinding his vision to the man standing in front of him, jangling the keys to open the cell.

"Daily loaf of bread, now, you know the rules, try anything funny with that breath of yours and suffer the consequences."

Biastos didn't respond and he was reminded of his bruised torso that was stabbed.

The guard cautiously knelt down and took off his gag, placing the load into his mouth, making sure his fingers were nowhere near his teeth.

He watched the thing chew slowly and maliciously as his bright golden eyes pierced right through him.

As Biastos was staring at the guard, he did not expect a frying pan to hit his head and topple to the ground.

He looked up to see a measly little man who was shaking.

" I can't believe I just did that." He muttered to himself. Glaring at the body on the floor and then at Biastos, "oh, right, I've got the keys." He ran to unchain him and Biastos collapsed on the floor and he rubbed his wrists.

"Who are you?" He croaked.

"Helios, listen, I'm with Jayne, and we're here to get you out."

At the mention of his beloved, a fire ignited inside him to gain the energy to stand, "Jayne, where is she? Is she alright?"

Helios hid a scowl as he remembered their situation, this animal was in love with her, by the gods. Dragons were known for being very passionate and violent when it comes to their kin.  It's partly why he believed the lore that Vaxater's were descendants of dragons, considering how Selene is very fond of Desmideus in a very unhealthy manner.

One thing he knew he couldn't do is express romantic interest in Jayne with him around, it would only end... poorly.

"So, what's the plan?" Biastos asked.

"Well, um... get out of Thrinicia."

"Yeah, and how do we do that?"

"Um, well," Helios scratched the back of his head, " haven't thought that far yet."

Biastos grimaced at this human's ineptness.

"I guess we just thought you'd turn into a dragon then we'd jump on your back and fly away."

"You're coming with us?" Biastos was heavily offended at the prospect of this boy and his sweet Jayne being in close contact with each other on his own back.

"Well I am sort of the one whose helping you escape."

Biastos scowled, "fine."

"Now, what we'll need is a big distraction, enough that I can sneak Jayne out of the castle without anyone noticing."

"The docks."

"What about them?"

"I'll set all their ships on fire, that'll get their attention."

Helios cringed at reckless idea, "try not to get shot down."

"Oh, I won't."

" okay, well, meet us by the east side of the castle, there's a little gazebo out there, we'll be waiting." Helios then dashed away to go back to Jayne.

Biastos looked down at the passes out guard then grabbed his neck, taking a large bite out of it to give him the blood and flesh he needed if he wanted to pull this plan off.

He marched out, wiping the blood onto his sleeve, smirking,  as he was now allowed to do some real fun.
