"AGGGHHHHHHHHHH!" Shya screamed while she pushed and then threw her head back. "I can't fucking do this! I can'ttt!"
"Baby you got this. You can do it." Kevin tried to encourage her while her sister wiped sweat from her face and held her other leg.
"Shut the fuck up Kevin! I just fucking told you I can't!" She screamed adamantly and the doctor and nurses all consoled her and tried convincing her that she needed to try and get the baby out.
I sat there watching it all happen and recording on her camera like they asked but I was starting to second guess my own delivery.
If it's anything like this I then I don't know if vaginal birth is for me. Shyas been pushing for an hour and all we can see is hair. The doctors said she tore but I was too afraid to look and now they're threatening to use a metal object to pull the baby out if she doesn't keep pushing.
I know shy doesn't have a high tolerance for pain so I think part of the problem is she keeps giving up instead of pushing the baby out.
On the other hand they did estimate that Sophia weighs 10 pounds, so there's that.
"Shya you've got to push. The babies heart rate is dropping. It's either that or I go in with the forceps..." Her doctor looked at her and shy agreed to start pushing again.
5 minutes later we welcomed Sophia Valerie Torres into the world. 10 pounds 2 ounces and 19 inches long, with a head full of hair.

She came out looking purple at first because she'd been deprived of oxygen but once they cleaned her up and massaged the blood through her body she began to have more of shys complexion.
"She's beautiful Shy!" I squealed once her sister and Kevin finished getting a look at her.
