about two weeks after the birth of evangeline, the group minus rachel sat at the diner where monica works.
camila sat in between joey and chandler, looking a lot better than she had two weeks ago. after a few more days evangeline had gotten way better at sleeping and surprisingly only woke up 3 times at night.
chandler sat on the end with a stroller holding his baby next to him.
"So, I'll get candles and my mom's lace tablecloth, and since it's Rachel's birthday, I mean, we want it to be special, I thought I'd poach a salmon." monica explained her plans for rachel's surprise party.
"Ohhh." the rest of the group mumble.
"What?" monica asked noticing the sudden change in them.
"Question. Why do we always have to have parties where you poach things?" ross asked his sister.
"You wanna be in charge of the food committee?" monica asked back from behind the counter.
"Question two. Why do we always have to have parties with committees?" camila added.
"Really. Why can't we just get some pizzas and get some beers and have fun?" joey suggested.
"Yeah." they all agreed.
"Yeah, I agree. Ya know, I think fancy parties are only fun if you're fancy on the inside and I'm just not sure we are." said phoebe.
"Alright. If you guys don't want it to be special, fine. You can throw any kind of party you want." monica said trying to guilt trip them but quickly changed to fussing at joey for staring at her fake boobs.
"Joey they're not real. I start miles beneath the surface of these things, ok, they're fake. See" she says before she squeezes her breast "honk honk."
"monica ! there is a child here!" camila said as her and chandler acted offended.

a few days later the group was at monica's apartment setting up for rachel's party.
"Ok, here are the birthday candles. Where's the birthday cake?" phoebe asked walking up to the table.
"Ok, we're not having birthday cake, we're having birthday flan." monica told them as she pulled out the flan from the fridge.
"Excuse me?" chandler asked her.
"oh no" camila commented when she saw the tiny flan.
"It's a traditional Mexican custard dessert." monica explained
"Oh that's nice. Happy birthday Rachel, here's some goo." joey said sarcastically.
