the one where rachel quits

"you broke a little girls leg?" monica yelled at her brother in ten coffee house.

"i know i feel horrible, okay?"

"says here that a muppet got whacked on sesame street last night. where exactly were you around ten-ish?" chandler joked looking at his newspaper.

"well im going to go see her. i wanna bring her something, what do you think she likes?" ross asked them

"maybe a hello kitty doll? the ability to walk?" monica joked making rachel to laugh which resulted in ross looking back at his girlfriend upset.

"look out kids he's coming!" chandler called out as ross began walking away.

"and i gotta go sell some christmas trees." joey said getting his coat.

"have fun. oh, wait. no don't! i forgot i am totally against that now." phoebe said while drinking her coffee

"what me having a job?" joey asked confused.

"no,no, i am against innocent trees getting cut down in their prime and their corpses grotesquely dressed in like tinsel and twinkling lights." she told the group before turning back to joey
"hey how do you sleep at night?"

"well im pretty tired from lugging the trees around...but hey phoebe listen you got this all wrong, those trees were born to be christmas trees. they're fulfilling their life purpose by making people happy." joey explain to the blonde girl, earning a smile from camila as she watched him try and make phoebe feel better about the situation.

"really?" she asked the other three.
"yes... yes, and uh, the trees are happy too because for most of them it's their only chance to see new york." chandler added causing joey to look at him like he was crazy.

"hey we should go get a christmas tree, it's the first time we get to celebrate with angel." camila told her boyfriend who was sitting right next to her holding their daughter.

"yea we can make it a family trip and decorate it together." he agreed causing her to smile excitedly and lean over to give him a quick kiss. joey watched the interaction happen as he was putting on his coat and couldn't help be feel crushed because he wished it was him and camila going to buy their Christmas tree together.

"hey what are you doing here?" joey asked phoebe as she walked up with camila, chandler , and angel.

"well i thought a lot about what you said and i realized, yea maybe i was a little judgmental." she said but reached out to the tree joey was unwrapping and made a sad noise.

"now phoebe remember they're just fulfilling their christmas..." joey began to say
"destiny." phoebe answered.

"oh look at this one honey!" camila said grabbing chandler and pulling him to the full one she saw.
