Chapter 21: Dear Sawyer, Sleep With Me lol. Love, Jamie

I had been finding more interesting ways to try to convince Sawyer to sleep with me, despite me knowing well enough he was going to say no because I was still in no condition to do the do. I still had to use a wheelchair to get around, but there was no harm in constantly asking.

You know, except for the possibility that Sawyer would end up getting frustrated with me. Though, he wasn't anywhere close to getting mad. If anything, he was finding it funny.

Sawyer was doing his usual morning farm chores right now, so I was trying to figure out how to annoy Sawyer. I mean, ask Sawyer. Totally ask him. I wasn't doing this to annoy Sawyer. Not at all. If anything, I was kind of getting annoyed that he wasn't getting annoyed. What kind of boyfriend was I if I couldn't annoy him?

I dug through the drawer of my nightstand, trying to find something that would spark an idea. I came across a piece of paper and pencil. This one was going to be boring, but it was the best thing I could think of.

I wrote down sawyer, please sleep with me lol on the paper before placing it neatly on his pillow. Most of the time, he would come back to the room after finishing his morning chores to rest for a bit, so he should see it almost immediately.

It took some time for him to come back to the bedroom and when he did, he immediately lied down on the bed, not noticing the paper. It wasn't until his head hit the pillow and heard the paper crumple that he noticed it. He sat up and grabbed the paper, reading it before he chuckled. "The answer is still no, Jamie," Sawyer said before rudely crumpling up the paper and tossing it in the trash.

I worked hard on that note and he just tossed it away. He probably wanted to break up with me now and never see me again.

I huffed, both at the decline and the lack of annoyance from Sawyer. All I wanted was to annoy him just once in my life, but he refused. Was I really not that annoying?

"You'll get over it," Sawyer said, lying back down on the bed. "By the way, you're cute when you're frustrated."

I reached for my tablet and typed a reply. "Sexually frustrated? Because that's your fault."

"No, just regularly frustrated," Sawyer said. "And it's neither of out faults. I told you, we're not doing anything until your doctor gives you approval. And I doubt you're going to get approval until you're not using the wheelchair. Or at least not using it as much."

I put the tablet back on the nightstand before lying down on the bed, huffing once again. Sure, I was being dramatic but my horniness was fuelling my dramatics.

Sawyer scooted closed to me, pressing a gently kiss on my forehead. "Better?"

       "No," I said.

"Oh, well, nothing I can do about it," Sawyer said, so I stuck my tongue out at him. He was being so mean to me for no reason whatsoever. All I wanted to do was do the do but no.

Sawyer did turn on a movie for us, though. There was nothing much I could do anyway. I was still trying to find something to pass the time but so far, it was just movies, TV shows, video games, and napping.

I did try to go outside to see Paint from time to time, but my wheelchair sometimes didn't like to cooperate on the grass. It was starting to be a pain to go there all the time, so I was therefore bound inside my house.

As we were watching the movie, Sawyer's cell phone suddenly beeped with a text message so he grabbed it off of his nightstand. After reading the message, he said, "Kitty said she'll reach Ruralburgh soon and she wants to come here after dropping her horse off. She wants to check up on you. Is that okay?"

I nodded. I did miss Kitty, as strange as that sounded. Besides, she was someone who could annoy Sawyer, so maybe I could ask for some tips. But it might be because Kitty was his ex and I wasn't.

It actually wasn't long before Kitty showed up. She knocked on the door and after Sawyer told her to come in, she opened the door and walked inside. "Hey," she said as Sawyer paused the movie. "How are you doing, Jamie?"

       "G-Good," I said. "S-Still can't t-talk much. But... G-Good."

"At least you can talk a bit," Kitty said. "And you're looking a lot better."

I reached for my tablet again. "I still use this to communicate longer sentences so I have a question. I've been trying to annoy Sawyer but it's not working. What would you do to annoy him?"

"So that's why you've been leaving those messages everywhere?" Sawyer asked. "I thought it's just because you're... Well, I'm not going to say it with Kitty around."

"Good, because I don't want to hear whatever it is," Kitty said. "And sorry, Jamie, but I don't think anything you try will annoy Sawyer. He's just way too in love with you to get mad."

"I would deny it, but there's no point to it," Sawyer said. "It's true. So how did the rest of the tour go?"

"We got second place overall," Kitty said. "Not the best, but better than nothing."

"We would have won if I wasn't injured."

"Yes, because you're totally the best competitor in the world and any team without you is a loss," Kitty said.

"Exactly. I'm glad we're on the same page. So back on the topic of annoying Sawyer..."

"Like she said, it's not going to work," Sawyer said. "I mean, it might, but you're really going to have to step up your game. So far, I've just been finding it funny."

Well, then challenge accepted, Sawyer Birch. After all, I had been bored out of my mind the past couple weeks. This might be what I needed to pass the time until I could get out of bed more often.
