The sound of footsteps entering his bedroom caused Kian to groan and bury his head under his pillow. His head pounded, which enhanced the sound of everything. The door swung open, revealing his two concerned cousins.

"Kian, it's really late. Why are you still in bed?" Amelia questioned as she and Jamie entered the room. Kian groaned, ignoring her comment.

"Seriously, Kian. Are you alright? You sure left early last night. Did something happen?" Jamie asked as she walked over to the curtains to open them.

Instead of responding, Kian sat up in his bed with a scowl. He hardly remembered what happened, because everything seemed hazy. However, one certain moment repeated itself in his mind, and he was certain it was not a dream despite how surreal it really felt.

"Wow you look awful," Jamie commented, taking in his red eyes and dark bags. "Maybe you shouldn't have gone to that party."

Kian sighed, rubbing his temples. "You're right," he mumbled.

"Theo looked for you after you left. He seemed....disappointed and flustered," Jamie stated, a sly grin stretching across her mouth. "Who gave you those hickies on your neck, Kian?"

Kian rolled his eyes and buried himself back under the covers. However, his cousins ripped the blankets off him before he could get comfortable.

"You can't just pretend nothing happened. Hide here all you want, but that's not going to change anything," Jamie said, putting her hands on her hips.

"I know," Kian sighed.

"Wanna talk about it?"

Kian ran a hand through his tousled hair, ignoring how the action made him feel slightly dizzy. "Not really, but I know I probably should..."

Amelia walked over to the door and closed it before her and her sister sat down on the edge of Kian's bed. He rarely opened up to people, so they felt honored that their cousin was willing to share with them.

"So what happened?" Amelia asked.

Kian was silent for a moment as he tried to gather enough courage to open his mouth and spill the truth. "I...um...Theo kissed me," he whispered. Jamie's jaw dropped at the same time Amelia's eyes widened."...and I may have kissed him back."

"Shut up! Really?" Amelia questioned in disbelief. "I knew the outfit we picked out for you would work, but we did not expect it to work that much."

"It seems to me that it was more than just kissing," Jamie smirked as her eyes wandered over the disgustingly purple bruises littering the skin on his neck.

Kian involuntarily lifted his hand up to touch the area as he recalled the sensation. Goosebumps decorated his body just from the memory of it.

"Is that why you left early?"

Kian nodded his head with a sigh. "I also puked right in front of him immediately after." Both girls grimaced, feeling pity towards the teen. They would have felt embarrassed if they were in his situation.

"So what are you going to do?" Jamie asked. Amelia nodded her head in agreement.

Kian shrugged. "What can I do? Go and declare my non-existent love for him?"

The two girls exchanged looks. "You need to get up," Amelia told him with a sigh as she and Jamie made their way towards the door. "Breakfast is ready."
