Rain ||cashton||

Beginning

10 Years ago~

Calum walked up to the door of a large mansion. He knocked and waited cutely on the steps to his best friend's house. He watched as the door open before him. He saw a boy with brown curly hair stare right back at him with a small childish grin. They laughed and Calum walked in. Ashton closed the door behind him.

" Whats up Ashy?" Calum teased as he tugged his hair softly. Ashton flinched and smiled.
" Nothing really... Want to go outside?" Ashton asked as he walked tot he kitchen, getting an apple. Calum nodded and snatched it from him and ran out Ashton's back door.

" Hey! Thats mine!" Ashton chased after him into the woods behind his house. Calum laughed. They ran to the treehouse they built a couple years ago between their houses. They climbed up the little ladder and closed the door inside. They sat and looked at each other, making silly faces. They split the apple in half and felt the crunch as they bit into it.

" I never want to leave you Ashton." Calum promised. He hugged his head and squeezed hard, hearing Ashton struggle from his bear hug.

" Me either Cal!" He poked his stomach and tickled him. Calum couldn't bear the laughter coming out of his body. He smiled and flipped Ashton over onto his back and pinned him. He giggled, but they looked into each others eyes. They felt something going on between them that they have never felt before.

"C-Calum?" Ashton's eyes glimmered into Calum's. He was mesmerized by him. Calum froze and thought. He lowered to his lips and kissed his lips quickly, when he pulled away, Ashton's face was as red as an apple. He giggled and sat up, leaning over to kiss his cheek. They both smiled and looked out their window.

" C-Calum? What would you do if I left?" Calum turned to him as his eyes began to water. Calum sat closer to him, hugging him and pulled him close to his chest.

" I'm never leaving Ash, and you ain't getting rid of this kid right here!" He pointed to himself, making Ashton laugh.

As the hours of fun slipped away, it was time for Calum to go home. They waved their goodbyes and he ealked. Halfway to his house, he heard a car turn on in his drive way. Listen to innocent 'No!' In the car, Calum turned, and his heart dropped. Ashton's angry mother behind the wheel, he noticed the boy he loved screaming through a river of tears against the window. It began to rain, Ashton's father ran out, hurting and crying for them to come back. Calum picked up his pace to the car and yelled to Ashton.

" Ashton....ASHTON!" He ran fast, passing his house, he cried hard as he ran. They yelled back and forth at each other, when all of a sudden, Calum tripped over a rock and fell to his side, his skin against the pavement. Ashton screamed through the car window he opened up.

" CALUM! I LOVE YOU!"

That day....it was never the same again.
